Watched Action Point over the weekend. Not great, not terrible. Had some funny moments, and a bit more heart than I expected. Some pretty excellent tunes throughout.

I went to see Juliet, Naked last weekend. I read the book a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The film isn’t a carbon copy of the book, but it was still very good.

I would recommend this film to anyone who is a music fan, especially those who are passionate about keeping tabs on their favourite artists, even if they have been out of the public eye for years. The movie even makes fun of middle-aged men doing obscure podcasts. ;) Loved it!

That film, like many big studio projects these days, had great potential and just failed to deliver. There were some things I liked about The Mummy, but overall it just seemed kinda pointless.

I watched 'Deliverance' again in honor of Burt Reynolds. Helluva film that has aged well since 1972.

Back to the Future was on UK TV last night.

Thought it would be rude not to watch it.

Predators - rewatching this one I enjoyed it still, definitely not up there with the original or part 2 but a lot better than what came next.

After Death (Zombi 4) - cheesy italian zombie film, had a laugh with this one

The Predator - wow... I really wanted to like this one and it started off ok and there were a few good scenes but man does it get bad, way too much comedy, not enough predator action, it was an insult to the predator and worse than even AVPR. I think this may be the last nail in the coffin for predator in film. Atrocious

That's, 1, 276,000,000 minutes or 56,166,666.66 hours or 2,215,277.77 days or 6,069.25 years of watching the same movie over and over!

Was that watching on Groundhog day?!

Watch "Aliens Vs. Predator" (2004) on blu-ray!

In one scene there is a carved face that definitely looks like an engineer.

Seen shortly after the party hears a distance scream. Seems symbolic of the Engineers screaming at us.

Watched "White Lighting" in honor of Burt. Love his 70's films.

Also watched "The Shape Of Water". A little far fetched, but still a fun movie.
I loved Sally Hawkins portrayal of the mute character and Micheal Shannon was a badass as the villain.

Venom

-Thought Tom Hardy was a good choice as Eddie Brock
- Enjoyed the communication between Eddie and Venom throughout
- The CGI was well done
- Fight Scenes were a little meh for me..
- Story was a little weak

Not a great movie but not bad either i overall enjoyed it has it's moments.

It's years ahead of it's time and quite a great low budget horror comedy. I think it's incredibly underrated, and deserves discussion alongside films like Return of the Living Dead. Is it as good? No, but it's ability to capture the aesthetic of low budget horror is quite well done.
