Sounds better than the real thing, actually. Much better. Shame Paul went the guitar route, with it.

They could have had Eric Singer play it on piano for MTV Unplugged.

Probably the biggest missed opportunity in Kisstory.

They weren’t miming anything yet at that point...Eric would of had to actually play it.

Man I used to love the Red Hot Chili Peppers back then, but looking back, what a bunch of pretentious pseudo-intellectual hippie-talking tossers (Chad Smith excepted) they were, huh? It’s like with Gene and Paul, I can’t bear to hear them talk anymore.

And this thing shoulda been filmed in colour, but oh-no let’s be arty farty and do it in black n white to grate the shit outta people. I mean, it’s bearable, but it takes away so much of the potential this movie had. I’d like to have been able to get a real feel for the location, the California sunshine and the shades of those guitars. Oh well...

But I do love this movie, and the resulting album. Brings me right back to high school. Thanks for sharing, I haven’t seen this in a long time. Happy memories. 8)
