This is the first show back in my original home town for me since Animalize, recommend the Percy Arms and Trillions in town for drinks if looking for a rock venue pre show in the arvo but the venue itself is fairly isolated. Me and the Mrs have designed a drgbootz t shirt so say hello if you see us. Hopefully well get them from the printers in time. Me bald dude stunning good looks :D

I was hoping to be home for several shows but one redundancy notice put paid to that plan...

Hope all Euro fans enjoy the tour! Hope we'll get some decent reviews from the fans attending!

I'd say about 30 minutes walk from Newcastle centre or you can hop on the metro to Central Station and about 10 min from there.

I am going.

Is Trillions that place which is tucked away in a square off Northumberland Street? I have never been there in years.

I will probably go to the Goose (opposite the haymarket) for a couple of pints.

The Baron & Baroness is a usual ,meet up bar, close to the arena in the Centre For Life.

At night it is frequented by........er...........rather colourful gentlemen, but we usually meet there for a few before arena gigs.

It would be great if this were the case, but unfortunatley you can count on the setlist, pics, videos, updates, commentary, etc. to be scattered aimlessly across the board in as many as 6-12 threads.

True, so far I don't even know if Drago's posting back on Twitter, so we might not even have a source.

Sorry folks, I've come here looking for updates myself. I'm not at the Newcastle gig, but will be at Liverpool on Tuesday having a Beatles vs KISS day out!

I'll Tweet updates from that show.

If you're in the 'Pool, you have to check out the Cavern Club. But it's actually moved a bit, lol - when you go in, down the spiral stairs, the bit where the stage is (I guess the most important place) is original, but the bar area has been rebuilt. When I went there is was all decked out in candles, like a shrine. Pretty cool place to have a pint.

Hopefully the band will recognize this and add more songs like these into the setlist (e.g. Tears Are Falling, Domino, etc.).

Great great show managed to get front row. Nothing I didn't like about this show and lots I loved, the new stuff especially GGRNRTY goes over a storm, Tommy's new solo with Eric on bazooka raises a smile, the entry is just perfect. It was loud as fuck and Paul whilst still no 80's warbeller was much much stronger , not perfect but good. Only the back section curtained off I would say 75-80% full so around 7500 - 8000 perhaps? and the crowd was very strongly into it, lots of youngsters again just like the States. The kid next to us was 14 and it was his first show ever, what a baptism of fire. Great to catch up with friends today, DavyD missed you next city mate. Discovered that English cider just makes me pee non stop so will avoid in future. Next show for us is Birmingham, can't wait although my feet say otherwise lol.

Absolute superb night. Paul was bantering about Newcastle, he mentioned a City Hall gig from the eighties twice, likened the place to Detroit before DRC, which is true in that the people are seen as very down to earth, and, (I think) made a reference to Newcastle Brown Ale.

The sound was clinical and heavy, absolutely faultless. Paul’s singing was brilliant and he has lost some weight . The crowd were really up for it, lots of children in warpaint and families etc etc.

Almost a sell-out and my seats were great - looking right down the stage. It was the perfect gig really.

Highlights...

Crazy Nights: something for the UK fans but I hope they extend this elsewhere as it is well worth it, great sing-along.

Lick It Up: see above

I’m an Animal: this song sounded particularly fantastic live. In fact all the Sonic Boom stuff went over very well with the crowd but I thought this song sounded really tough live, a full on demon rocker.

Lowpoints
Absolutely nothing although I would have probably preferred God of Thunder over I Love It Loud. When Lightening Strikes would have been nice in place of Shock Me also. These are only minor set-list preferences.

Cheers Kiss for a great evening.
