It's a good album. The songs are great. The production was good on it. I'm excited to hear these remixes.

I'm really hoping they're working on a Sabbath Bloody Sabbath deluxe edition. They skipped over that one. πŸ€”

I've always loved this album and can't wait to hear the new mixes! And at least Sabbath acknowledged the album's existence by playing Dirty Women when they did their reunion tours.

Of the 8 it's my least favorite also. But that's like saying I prefer chocolate ice cream over vanilla. I still love both. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I listened to the original LP last weekend.

I picked up a copy of it...and overpaid...

It's something.

That's for sure.

It's definitely an album that was written, performed, and recorded by the members of Black Sabbath.

Ooh, this interests me. I love the album and while some of it has decent production, I'm looking forward to Wilson's remix. "You Won't Change Me", "Backstreet Kids", "All Moving Parts" and "She's Gone" are big favorites of mine.

I love all eras of Sabbath. I consider myself very lucky to see them in a club in 1994 with the best set list of all time. It was amazing.

Absolutely. No Dio or Ozzy. I couldn't care less. I would rather see the 1994 line up than any other line up in their history. I LOVE the setlist. Tony Martin era Sabbath is what I loved as a teen. I know it isn't the best, but there is only one way to hear that setlist, go back to 1994.

Not really my cup of tea but glad you enjoyed the setlist...Sabbath is like Kiss in the sense that there are multiple line ups and everyone has their fave. FWIW I do like the Eternal Idol album....solid stuff.

While I prefer Never Say Die, I think both albums are underrated. I enjoy both quite a bit. Are they classics like the previous albums or the two follow ups? No, but they are still enjoyable. I hope it does decently enough to warrant remasters of other albums.

I love Never Say Die as well.

As far as I can tell they're re-releasing all the original 8 albums in deluxe Remasters. I'm assuming they're saving Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for last. Tony Iommi has gone on record saying that SBS is his favorite album they've ever done.

I like it. Well, except for the John Lennon sounding song. I mean, it’s a well crafted/performed piece but some of that Lennon solo shit makes me want to puke - and that’s what it sounds like, to me - a Lennon solo song.

Perhaps it’s a McCartney solo sounding song. I dunno. Whichever. Bleh.

There’s nothing wrong with Never Say Die. I like it about as much as I like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Grossly underrated album. I'd buy this version if it was better than this. Three versions of the same album with only their mixes separating them is a bit of a ripoff. They should have just made this a double, with just the remastered album and a live show. I bought the 2015 remastered LP/CD package and am happy with it, so I'm not even remotely interested in what could have, and should have, been a far better deluxe release.

I'm sorry, but Technical Ecstasy doesn't deserve the so-called "deluxe" treatment. Overall, the songs just aren't there, and the band seemingly had no focus or desire to make a strong album. One star. :|

listening to the 2021 edition . there`s some improvements to be heard , but it still is not an great sounding album , so there`s not much to work with in the first place . i am sure that the production did also turn off many fans , not just the songs . I find it hard to listen to . same thing with Never say die , that was even worse

Its not a bad album.

But following after Sabotage it sounds confused, unfocused and weak. It's alright doesn't fit on the album at all.

There are some really good ideas on the album but they're not fully realised like they are on SBS and Sabotage. In hindsight you can hear the band is not firing on all cylinders anymore.

But if you listen with an open mind and don't constantly compare it with earlier albums, Technical Ecstacy is actually pretty decent.
