Looks like you get everything except for a "hidden compartment" item. Much more reasonable price.

I don't know whether to say thank you or goddamn you...I just ordered one. I still think it's overpriced as fuck, but I want the music and dunno if it'll be released more reasonably priced.

Gotta wonder how this makes the people who spent 2-3x this amount without a meet and greet feel. Next just the cds will be available for purchase for $149.

Cool. How did you do that? On-sold by someone I guess?

Gene's folks reading this - please just sell the book and discs as a set!? I'm genuinely interested in wanting to purchase that. I have zero interest in the giant tin can, with the silly looking doll, other junk nic-nacs, and a bonus pair of Gene's used socks or undies.. No interest at all.
But the book - with the discs - that can sit nicely on my album shelf; that's a yes!

And it can be shipped outside the US then.

Yep, I love this set. I'm not saying it's the best music on earth. But it is the best $400.00 I have spent on music. I listen to this set of demos more then probably 95% of my music collection, and definitely more than any other thing to do with KISS these days. There are some really great music in these Gene demos.

There were like 20 sets of the book with the CDs new listed on Ebay about a little over a year ago, they all went for between $350.00 and $400.00. I don't remember the name of the company that had them but they were the official books and CDs.

Yep 100% agreed.

Although I am surprised (and slightly proud) Gene kept his word about this stupid thing and didn't release a bare bones CD and book only edition.

Interesting....it's a "pre-order" for August, so I guess these are not 'leftovers?' And also that it will be shipped in two shipments. One for the vault itself, and another for everything else? Funny how they are giving just a few days to purchase at this price. Seems like they can make more of everything, I'd like to get the music and the book but couldn't care less about the other stuff. Just gonna wait it out.

Looking forward to the Christmas sale.

When it gets under $100 we'll talk. No, "Vault," needed. Just the book and CD's.

I definitely remember that and was going to post about it. I recall it being presented exactly that way, and there was a lot of chatter here about how someday we'd see the price drop despite what Gene was saying. Whoever took that position was exactly right.

This is my thought (and hope).

Don't want or need the vault itself, or an action figure and coin but I do want the music. Gene knows there's a market for that alone, so I'm guessing it's a just give it time scenarios.

FYI this is the 2nd time it has been marked down. The first time was $1000 at fye.com back in late 2018:

viewtopic.php?t=127317

I saw the book while visiting KISS Monster mini-golf in Vegas and I've heard the songs. I would pay no more than $100 but I doubt they will become available as a partial package unless there are some damaged ones laying around.

Not really. If there was a real lock on it, the likes of those complaining about it NOT being real would also have something to say when people forgot their combinations. Vicious circle.... Besides, the $2,000 was for the event, not just the product.

I think you are missing the point. Just in a professional construction way - if you are going to bother even creating a vault, it should be working. If I bought a mini vault for $200, I would expect it to close and actually lock and it probably would.

It's a prop. So what?
So you don't think for $2,000 - that the vault shouldn't have actually been a vault that works just in a proper professional creation of the vault?
Gimme a break. By your thinking, if they included 1/6 scale replica car it should be able to have petrol added, oil, and be allowed registration to go about the road. Next you will say the Gene Simmons figure should come to life in a Trilogy Of Terror Way.

I love Van Halen more than I do KISS right now, but there's no way I would pay $500 for 2 VH/Gene demos.

Sorry, Chaim.

I think he’s playing keyboards in Soul Station now.

What? For old Gene demos? Is that really the best money you ever spent on music?
I'm not picking a fight, I'm just curious.
I have now heard all of the 11 cds and there are a total of about 4 good songs in total on them. The vault is not worth 15 dollars.
