Having ‘Anal’ and ‘Love Gun’ in the same post is just asking for trouble!

My only example of OCD I can recall was when I was a kid I could never turn off the cassette or record half way through a KISS song. If a song started it had to play through to the very end EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

When there were record stores and record departments to frequent, i always went straight to the KISS section to check inventory. I’d also rearrange the stack to put a more visually impressive album cover up front.

There was often a shelf above the racks with an assortment of artists — if it was crowded, i’d nudge a few to make sure KISS had better visibility.

My kids opened some nice sealed TNG figures I had and knocked over everything else .

Oh well, all the really valuable ones I played with to Hell and back when I was a kid.

That brings back memories of me going straight to look for the Led Zeppelin and KISS sections of the HMV over here in the UK!

Finances meant I had to downsize Kiss stuff few years ago but I possessed at least an original, Euro logo & latest version of all CDs, cassettes, DVDS, LPs, 7" & 12" singles & VHS videos with ideally a new item of each kept sealed, never to be played or opened. Plus the many versions from different countries/ regions, etc. All my collections(s) (mostly Kiss, music, sci-fi, sports, specialised interests) are stored alphabetically, then chronologically, but I still get stuff mixed up and sometimes can't find a certain album I have a fancy to play !, and cassettes always fully fast-forwarded then re-wound after playing. I wouldn't necessarily descibe my storage system as being 'anal' or OCD (any more) but I've worked in offices most of my life so organising (yet still misplacing) stuff is kinda second nature....

I keep all my cds in the order that were released. My old tapes are still like that too. I also always make sure the cd is in the case right side up.
