Awesome! I missed you at the show in the Forum and didn't get one, so it looks like I get another chance.

But yeah, I'm taking my dad to this show and am looking forward to it. He originally got me into the band and while I've seen KISS with him a couple of times, they were both for the LA KISS stuff, he never got to see what a full KISS show is like, so I'm excited for what he'll experience. Also, this show will also be a full circle moment for me, as this is where I first saw the band back in 2009. I'm not sure if it'll be the last, but regardless, this one is going to be special for me

EXTREMELY well sold. Always was. The claims of poor sales being the reason it was rescheduled were preposterous. We eventually found out kidney stones was the culprit.

I do believe the Staples show will be the largest gate on this leg.

I hadn’t planned on going, but my son got me a ticket for a Christmas present. I was really surprised that he wanted to go. I took him to the Dodger Stadium show in 98, he was 4. There were a number of shows over the years. I even took him to a few tribute band shows. His wife will be going too and it’s her first time. They both want to do makeup too. I’m really excited to go now more for the experience with my son and his wife. The can’t wait!

I don’t believe the biggest but definitely one of them.

I think it’s a safe bet to say it’ll be their biggest gate though.

Given the “seasoned” age of much of the fan base, it could be CPAP.

In all seriousness... with this news...
Los Angeles County Declares Emergency With 6 New Coronavirus Cases
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/04/us/c ... ounty.html
excerpt:
officials warned that the number of confirmed cases in Los Angeles County could soon rise, perhaps as early as later this week, and asked community members to prepare themselves for the possibility of school closures and the cancellation of public events.
Not sure I'd go to a show in L.A. tonight... sold out or not. Too many unknowns right now.

Pretty funny how Live Nation did their mighty DYNAMIC PRICING for one show out of all their shows and jacked up the two front row seats left to $1500 and the 2nd row left jacked up to $1000 (3 of them).

Of course... people bought the resell tickets on the front & 2nd row and IGNORED the ones they jacked up. Hilarious if they are sitting empty in a few hours!

Kind of like when Vinnie jacked up the price from $500 to $1000 for his Christmas buffet show the day or two before it started, and then cut off sales completely the week before his VD bash after selling 6 tickets. Dynamic pricing indeed! lol

Part of Dynamic Pricing is setting prices high above market value before they even go on sale.

They’ve used the Dynamic Pricing model throughout EOTR.

That’s the best part about it.

I like to be able to buy high end tickets.

You’re admittedly a lower end guy and appreciate Groupon.

They have not used DYNAMIC PRICING AT ALL during this tour. All they've done is HEAVILY DISCOUNT. That's it.

And the one time they did "try it"..... it was stupid. Just like I said.... why would they be dumb enough to jack up the prices AFTER A YEAR OF BEING ON SALE..... whee there are resale tickets (better seats) for cheaper? It made no sense.

They probably lost out on the $2000 someone would have paid for those 2 front row instead they bought the resale ones.

And those 3 on the 2nd row also probably left unsold that they jacked up to $1000 for no reason at all.

Now maybe they are using ACTUAL DYNAMIC PRICING on a huge successful tour like MOTLEY CRUE's stadium tour that ended up selling out countless dates the first week.... did $90M in sales and 700,000 tickets the 1st week it went on sale. And they had to put on sale alot more stadium dates after that because of the huge demand.

Your post proves in your own words you don’t understand how dynamic pricing works.

Anything I could add to prove your ignorance would be overkill.

Not to wade into these waters, but non-resale Boston And Columbus tickets on the first leg did increase after the initial on sale date. I only know this because I had to sell mine and was surprised to see the new face values.

Oh most definitely sir. Of course ticket prices have gone up from original sticker prices on shows all throughout the tour. That’s neither here nor there.

Sphinxie doesn’t understand that starting tickets at such exorbitant figures is part of the Dynamic Pricing model too.

Because in only a handful of cases have tickets actually GONE UP. And like the Staples example.. it was stupid to do it then..... and they most likely lost out on the $2000 they could have had for the 2 front row tickets.... and they lost out on the $2250 they could have gotten for the 3 2nd row.... all because of screwed up systems.

In almost all cases.... all LIVE NATION has done is HEAVILY DISCOUNT tickets..... groupon the hell out of them..... and help supress sales further down the road.

But you are in awe because you once stayed at a Holiday Inn so you are an expert! ha ha ha You have NO REAL experience with it at all. NONE!

Sphinxie doesn’t understand that starting tickets at such exorbitant figures is part of the Dynamic Pricing model too.

You keep reiterating that don’t understand the process.

That’s no way to bolster your position.

Although it is your modus operandi.

Pretty cool. Paul dedicated the night to Kobe and wore a Kobe jersey for the encore

I'll have more to add later, but the show was great. Here are some photos of the tribute to Kobe, Gianna, and the other victims of the crash.
