Interestingly, using the exact same images, it was featured on another online auction site in 2017.

That description reads: Vintage one of a kind Joe Barth designed Shield of the Dragons Riders 1978 for Gene Simmons from KISS.

Nothing about it being stage-worn or even owned by Gene. I mean, I could make something 'for' Gene. I'll make a pie tonight. I guess the suggestion may be it was commissioned by Gene, but we'd really need to see him with it.

I think it is funny that the seller is trying to get big money from some KISS fan, but just about any real KISS fan with that kind of money to blow, would know that was never worn on stage by Gene.

Reminds me of the time I saw someone trying to sell some kind of Telecaster knockoff, with the absolute worst mirror ball job I have ever seen. They claimed it was Paul’s stage used guitar. Don’t these people know that us KISS fans know better?
