Re: How many members have you seen solo wise?
Saw Paul at the Channel club in Boston in ‘87 from in front of his mic. Absolutely phenomenal show! Kick a*# band with a Bald guy on lead and blonde guy on drums.. and hearing songs from his solo record was awesome!
Saw Ace open for Y&T in Springfield around that time, then saw him at the Paradise club and again on a 2nd floor club named Axis on Lansdowne where the House of Blues in now. It had a really low ceiling and I was honestly both amused and nervous at his launching the sparks out of his headstock. Last time I saw Ace was a place called Junkyard in Nashua, NH around 10 years ago.
Then got to see Gene’s band at Lynn Memorial in MA last year. Great setlist and that killer band. Honestly a thrill to see Gene do a Beatles song! Gary Cherone from Extreme sang Strutter and a blind guy who was so good singing Dr. Love that Gene looked happily stunned!

Went to see Gene solo show in Brisbane, Australia in 2018, Ace was on before and joined Gene for 3 or 4 songs, was on holiday visiting my sister and she got me tickets as a surprise, think the venue was called Tivoli.

Re: How many members have you seen solo wise?
I don't really know the story of why it was cancelled or if he was mad, but this was at Westhill High School in Stamford, CT in 1980 or 1981. I saw it in the paper or something and got my dad to take me over there and when we got there, there was a sign outside that said it was cancelled.Allamericanman wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:31 pmWas that the infamous High school gig where ticket sales were horrible and he got mad about it?In the Suds wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 12:11 pm Just Peter in '94 or '95 or something when he was doing the Criss Cat thing. Many years later I found a reference to the show online somewhere and found that is was benefit of some kind where Peter was appearing...as opposed to an actual "Peter Criss" show. I mean, it's not like he was going to be there just to say hi to people..he was definitely supposed to play, but it was part of a larger event. Peter lived in the area at the time so it was a local thing for him.

Re: How many members have you seen solo wise?
I’d like to pose the question, has anyone ever chosen not to attend a solo show when it’s in your town and you didn’t have any other plans already booked?
I’ve seen Ace, Gene, Paul, Peter, ESP/Eric and Bruce solo shows in my hometown of Melbourne Australia. There was perhaps a Bruce guitar clinic or two which I may have missed, but for the most part if they’re here then I’m attending.

I was thinking it was kind of a lot considering that's about what arena shows cost back then and this was a high school auditorium.NYRockCity wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 5:43 amSeeing that ticket price and thinking of today’s ticket prices I sort of cry a little on the inside hahaIn the Suds wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:59 pm Okay, found the listing and it looks like I was wrong there. If the claim is to be believed, that ticket prices have to make up for a lack of album sales, fans have to shell out the equivalent of 20 albums for good seats.NYRockCity wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 5:29 pmTicket prices now a days are insaneManOf1000Faces wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:01 amWhen I went to see Peter in '94, I got $7 tickets at the door, just before the opening band went on.NYRockCity wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 5:43 amSeeing that ticket price and thinking of today’s ticket prices I sort of cry a little on the inside hahaIn the Suds wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:59 pm Okay, found the listing and it looks like I was wrong there. On the day that I met Peter there, they were both in a humorous mood, cracking jokes about the various music videos that were on the television. Mark's comments started to get a little risque, and Peter told him he should watch his mouth around his mother (Mark's) who was in a nearby room.NYRockCity wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 8:17 pmThat’s awesome what was mark and peter like in real life
Peter was very nice to me, signed some things for me which I just "happened" to have out in my car, and then mentioned he and Mark should get back to work (on recording or practicing something). I got to just hang out with both of them for about a half-an-hour or so.
On lesson nights Mark was always very nice, and I truly appreciate the memories I have from that time period.

Cool. Can't remember which night I went. It was one of the guys in Y+T's birthday the night I went. That would probably narrow it down.

Frehley's Comet at L'amours 1985. Finally found the bootleg LP of this for a good price. In the mail now.
