My favourite 70's Kiss record. I Stole You Love (segueing into Deuce) should always been the show opener & It's a damn shame it's been neglected for so long.
Great episode Gents.

My lost best to worst:

LOVE GUN
I STOLE YOUR LOVE
CHRISTINE SIXTEEN
SHOCK ME
PLASTER CASTER
THEN SHE KISSED ME
TOMORROW AND TONIGHT
HOOLIGAN
ALMOST HUMAN
GOT LOVE FOR SALE

I know I’ll get ridiculed for a few of those choices but we like what we like!
No real clunkers on here, although the songwriting does feel a bit rushed at times.
I’d give this album an 8/10.

Enjoyed the episode. Thanks again. Got me almost halfway home then I checked out the latest Pod Of Thunder ep. 8)

Something I've always found it difficult to understand is how people always see song in context, like:

"Read my body" is bad, because "Pour some sugar" was already around.
"Tomorrow and tonight" sucks, because we already had "Rock'n'roll all nite"

To me, a song can be good (or bad) regardless of what came before it.

Great episode as ever. I listened to the Revenge one you guys did and enjoyed that too, but I'm not a fan of that album so I didn't really have any comments to make on that episode.

A few points on your collective list:

I'm surprised that you guys had Almost Human so far down. Great riff and blend of guitars, and really the only time (other than God of Thunder) that Gene's "demon" voice sounded so good. Great chorus as well, really unconventional by Kiss' standards.

I have a little more love for Then She Kissed Me just because I loved The Beach Boys' version when I first heard it, so when I first heard the Kiss version it wasn't as much as a blow to me. I agree that Tomorrow and Tonight is a futile attempt to create another RARAN, and it pretty much falls flat on its face.

Otherwise a great list! Good to see Plaster Caster above Christine Sixteen as well.

My list:

1. Plaster Caster
2. I Stole Your Love
3. Shock Me
4. Love Gun
5. Almost Human
6. Christine Sixteen
7. Hooligan
8. Then She Kissed Me
9. Got Love for Sale
10. Tomorrow and Tonight

Half the album, in my opinion, are fillers. (CS, GLFS, TAT, H, TSKM). The vary best of tracks from RARO and LG should have formed one album.
Another interesting discussion, thanks.
