Wouldn't it be cool as hell if the band went and recreated these iconic shots!

This will be my 31st KISS show since 1980, looking forward to this as it's only 5 minutes from my front door, the trip on London Underground for the general public should be fun on Wednesday, anyhow there are still 573 tickets left for this.

Where'd you get that number from my brother? While we're at it, 573 tickets away from what number capacity? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

London has always been a bit of a poor show for the boys but, this is a strong showing, as The 02 holds, 20,000, think it will be close to a sell out at this rate. :)

Counting dots!!! SPLENDID!

Last I counted it was 564. If you look at KISS' last trip to London they drew ~15,000. I believe they'll have a similar draw this time 'round. The O2 may hold 20,000 at maximum capacity, but in and end stage configuration like KISS is set up in it would hold considerably less. I'd guess <16,000. If they are anywhere near sold out (and the interactive map says it most certainly is on the way) it's a great showing no matter how you look at it.

Oh I never counted the dots, if you hover your mouse over the areas with seats still available it comes up with how many seats are available in each section, anyway still a good turnout for the boys in London.

I L-O-V-E when each section tells you how many seats are still available!!! It makes the counting SO MUCH easier.

Yes, however you slice it London looks like a nice showing, a perfect way to end this leg of the tour.

Mimes as in their facepaint? Or as in Joe Elliot miming his songs.

I kid. Joe's cool in my book and I still go to DL's shows even if it's all on Memorex. Leppard/Poison last month at the New Coliseum was awesome!

As the Iron Sheik would say... FAK DE JO ELIED.

Yeah, I like them too. I still haven't felt the need to check out more of their stuff. Maybe when I listen to a song that drives me fucking insane.

I met Khosrow at a bar in Bethpage, LI called Summertime's back in '91. He couldn't have been nicer. He stayed in character all night and wouldn't stop berating us worthless Americans. He also wouldn't stop me from buying him drinks all night either. :D

I'm here in London - in Europe actually for the 1st time ever - I turned 40 on May 28th and I'd never been to Europe...I'll be heading to Spain tomorrow for another 5 days of vacation, then back to Paris before I head home to DC on June 7th.

Getting to see KISS tonight in London will be awesome - and you know the boys are gonna bring it cause its the last show of the tour. I hope the crowd is crazy and lively - I've got great seats on the first level next to the stage. I'll be sure to take pics of the arena and it looks like it is going to be packed house!!

I've seen every tour since 1985 - some tours more than once - but tonight will be extra special being overseas, and in London nonetheless. Crazy, crazy nights indeed!!!

Ah well another UK tour comes to an end. Good crowd tonight at the O2. Plenty of first time kissers and judging by the singalong on the way out they had a blast. Back to reality tomorrow.

Interesting seeing the packed house and then reading the thread below this one, with people saying KISS should have retired long ago.

Maybe those who were able to experience a KISS concert for the first or twenty-first time here tonight would argue differently.

Hope it was a blast!

The full show was just up on YouTube. I had finished watching it, then went back to post the link to you guys, and its already been blocked. Shame. Judging by the audio, Paul sounded the best he has all tour, and he was pumped to be in London. It looked like a great show with a very enthusiastic crowd. Makes me want to see them again if they come back to Australia any time soon.

So KISS show 31 for me, I've seen many incarnations of this band and some of those 31 shows have been awful, attendance wise, performance wise and attitude wise, last night was none of those, they owned The 02 and I'm cynical about them at times but when you look around and see a sea of smiling faces from 6-60, they must be doing something right. The usual stuff, yes Paul's voice isn't what it was, I saw them on the Alive 35 tour and thought to myself then, they ain't got long left, but they continue to defy the odds, our demon still has it and he seems to be enjoying himself and was it me or did he appear to be a bit more mobile onstage last night?

Tommy and Eric keep it safe, as much as I'd love Ace and Peter up there, I don't think that now they would sound as good as this, the old KISS sound has gone forever and to be fair they've had many different sounds but this is the closest to that original concept. I well up when the disco light rotates and Paul plays around with the Black Diamond intro, it takes me back to being 14 and I think of an old pal of mine who died way before his time, we used to sit in my bedroom and listen to KISS all the time and he loved Black Diamond.

This was my wife's 2nd KISS show and she's not a massive fan, she likes her Yes, Rush, Genesis proggy stuff but there she was last night, dancing, clapping, screaming, she just got caught up in it and she gets it now. Rock N Roll All Nite is just mental and it reminds me why I love this band so much, it's their defining song. On September 9th 1980 my life changed forever, seeing this lot for the first time, as a 14 year old, was a life changing experience for me, I never picked up a guitar, never learnt drums, not like some people but I just fell in love with this band. They really touched a nerve and I haven't looked back, it hasn't all been great but my life would have been duller without them, I really hope I get to see them again but if not, they've gone out with a fucking bang.

Cool to read, thank you!
