If your not from around these parts, the best place to gather before the show is at the Railyard, in the Haymarket. It's about a block or two from the arena. Basically, one huge beer garden that has different vendors all around it and usually a live band that plays cover tunes to get you primed before going to the concert. It's even welcome to Wolverines. See ya there.

Paul indirectly refers to 2.0 in local interview.

“I’ll go until I’m done,” Stanley said. “I believe KISS should continue and will continue without me. Anybody who doesn’t believe that is already 50 percent wrong with the makeup of the band. Somebody can come into the band in place of me. He doesn’t have be a clone of me. I didn’t invent the wheel. I had a lot of musicians as influences and brought that in. If someone comes along with those same influences and adds me to it, he’ll fit fine in KISS.”

Same setlist as the past few shows. I hadn't seen Kiss since '09 and landed third row center, so it was fun. Yes, Paul's voice is (still) toast and yes, it is noticeable live, but not nearly as much as it is on video. I was enjoying myself way too much to care. Experiencing the spectacle from that close, there's too much else to take in without dwelling on bum or missed notes (a willing attitude helps, of course).

Nothing out of the ordinary to report other than Paul had a little girl - probably 10 to 12 or so - onstage between him and his guitar during I Love It Loud. I don't know what the backstory was, but she was clearly having the time of her life.

Great show. Paul sounded great. I knew someone who knew someone that got us backstage passes. We hung out with the production staff and security while the American Idolier performed. Got the inside scoop on Gene falling on his ass. Then we were escorted to the photo session. Gene played with my eye glasses. I don't have Nibbler numbers, but the arena appeared to be 3/4 full. It was a good night.

The crowd was very enthusiastic throughout the set. Really into it. Overheard many after the show saying it was the best concert they had ever been to. I've not been to any other shows on the tour except the Lincoln show last night, but the videos I've seen from other stops on the tour, the crowds have seemed way less enthusiastic. Even the so called "deep cuts" (Flaming Youth, COTN, War Machine) were very well received with a good majority of the crowd knowing the songs last night.
