Yo brother that's funny shit. :D :D :D

I'm NEVER trying to change how ANYONE feels about this band. We can discuss our opinions nine ways 'till Sunday and we often do.

Most of the time I'm dealing with numbers and statistics. It's a testament to the viability of the current product. It's up to you guys out there to like it or not...buy it or don't.

Do I want a better setlist? Yup. Personally I want a bunch of 80's KISS added to the show...I'm probably never gonna get it. At the same token come my first show at the Covelli Center...if this is the EXACT list...I'm still gonna be squealing like a little schoolgirl all night. :D

Amen, but the chances of them doing Spit are the chances of them doing something of COS. I just want something like Crazy Crazy Nights again, or at least God Gave Rock & Roll To You, that fits the whole Freedom To Rock Concept...

Woah, the patriotism mentioned in that review is pretty toe-curling. I find all that stuff nauseating and regret that the band ever started this particular line of jingoism.

Glad to see they have Love Gun in the set. My favorite Kiss tune. Not playing it would be sacriledge.

Such an old and tired setlist.

I really wish they would drop Psycho Circus and Shock Me. Such boring songs. I can live without Love Gun and 100.000 Years as well. That said, this was basically a casino warm-up gig, so they will probably play a longer set the rest of the tour and mix it up a bit more.

Kiss has turned into an old tired band, boring set list and boring stage set. That being said, I'm happy for the people that will see them on this tour, I'm sure it will be a first for many there. I wish Paul would stop all the political talk about this and that, enough with the flags already, just get to being a rock n roll band and leave that stuff for uncle Ted.

For the love of God, why are they still subjecting us to Shock Me and Beth?

And 100,000 Years is so tired. They should think about dropping Calling Dr Love too. And maybe Deuce.

Here are my suggestions for a fab setlist:

Modern Day Delilah
Tears Are Falling
Heaven's On Fire
Parasite (with full on drumming)
Let Me Go Rock N Roll
Do You Love Me
King Of The Nighttime World
IWMFLY
Strutter
ISYL
and Rockin' in the USA would have been a nice 4th of July gift
Maybe even a high spirited version of Shandi and an electric version of Goin' Blind

Shake it up, KISS!!!

Beth I can understand since it's one of their biggest hits, but Shock Me is a baffling choice. When Lightning Strikes or Outta This World would be so much better.

You must realize by now that as a ticket buyer or non ticket buyer to a KISS concert, they will not play rare songs live.

Also, to hear rare songs, you need at least 6 months salary to book a cabin on a Kruise ship.

We love KISS and hate them at the same time.

Gotta love it.

I'd love to know how a setlist is compiled. I imagine Gene and Paul are driving it. Tom and Eric mayoffer opinions, but likely hold little weight. They are told what to play; not much different from other bands I guess. The kicker is, while the guitar player and drummer do as they're told...they could in fact probably pull off any song in the catalog, with a little prep work. But surely G&P gave final say. Even if they run the list past Doc,Dean, Fran,....anyone in thier inner circle..... the two juggernauts don't seem to want to leave a certain comfort zone....which I get. Thier house, thier party.

I've seen 23 KISS concerts between 1992 and 2014.

I haven't heard "Creatures" since 1992.
I haven't heard "Star Spangled Banner" since 1992.
I haven't heard "Beth" since 2003.

For me, this would be a cool setlist. Yes, I want more rarities and variation, and I'd still enjoy this setlist.
You haven't heard Beth since 2003?

Wasn't it played on the regular in 2010?

Paul has maybe 1/3rd of a voice left, and butchers all his songs with it.
Beth and Shock Me are good in the sense that the less Paul songs in the set the better-it's getting down to only doing the absolute necessary Paul tunes, along with the ones he seems to favor: Psycho Circus and Creatures, which when you think about it, aren't really what I would call great songs.

I'll always love the band. And I'm going to this tour and I'll have a great time, mostly from seeing my kids get to see them again, but Gene and Paul are either lazy or cowards or both with the setlist.
Lazy because they won't relearn old songs or rarities or cowards because they're so afraid people might not know a song.
That is such a lame excuse they give year after year. What difference would it make to add a rarity in there to please some die hards, and then go back to your Detroit Rock city and your I love it Louds?
I'm only asking for 1-2 surprises, and no not Just a Boy or anything, just like I stole your love or flaming youth.
They can do it and simply choose not to. God gave rock and roll to you is another example. I've seen that go over very well.

Rock the Nation was awesome. Great setlist and change ups.
Then Alive 35 was a good concept and that led into sonic boom, lots of excitement.
Hottest Show on Earth setlist was really great , brought back crazy nights, Beth, God gave r and r, and I'm an animal
The Monster setlist wa great for the axs tv thing with heavens on fire and outta this world and say yeah.

But since then, they've really done nothing at all to create excitement - maybe samurai son.
I thought they might put Flaming Youth in there, but nothing.
Same setlist for almost 3 years - I guess they really are slowing down and showing their age.

Is the stage just a screen? It's only a band but watching and listening to this kinda ( kinda ) pisses me off.

They are waaaay better than this...at least that's what I've been telling myself for the last two Tours.

What the hell, I'll say it! I'd love for them to drop some of the tired songs and focus on picking replacements from the 80's albums. I'd love to hear stuff like Crazy Nights again, and stuff off LIU, Animalize, Asylum and HITS. Especially by this line up.

I really wish I could go on the cruise as that concept is right up my alley. I think this whole Creatures experience is going to be kick ass!

Like all the tours since 2010, they get more painful to watch every time they go out. I consider '100,000 Years' to be one of Kiss' best songs EVER, however, they should NEVER play it live again. Paul is no longer singing it. He's talking it ( ). Not to mention a band with the kind of catalog Kiss has playing a mere 16-song set? That's simply unacceptable to my thinking, especially when fans are shelling out $100+ for tickets ( )!

Like I've said previously, I like the idea of Kiss willing to play secondary markets. I applaud them for it. Yet I have to agree with the majority here who say that they're playing it way too safe (and lazy... ) with the set list. The fans DESERVE better, in my opinion. Interesting comments everybody---pro AND con ( :( ).

I've been saying the same thing for years. There just seems to be very little if any effort into putting on the greatest show
on earth these days ( years )

I've always rooted for KISS even through the bad times but this is one Tour in which I really hope tanks. There's tribute bands that I've seen put more effort and heart into putting on a KISS show than what I saw and heard from this show.

Yeah, unfortunately the set list debate is played to death. There's a set list idea, maybe one song off every studio album, in chronological order! That would give us 20, give or take?

While I understand your frustration. ..this set list is a bad idea..only 2 Gene songs. Paul's voice wouldn't last a week doing this set list. At this stage..the less Paul sings the better.

Can you imagine all the great/cool/exciting things they could do if they actually gave a crap? They are the McDonald's of rock, and their brand now includes the setlist apparently. As long as people show up at these shows, there's no reason for them to change things up much. No reason that they seem to care much about.

It's a Broadway show now anyway. Expecting the set to be shaken up is like going to see "Cats" and expecting to hear something from "Phantom of the Opera."

I clicked on one of those links, and the first thing I heard was, "How we doin' so fah? Well, I gotta tell ya people, we are just ... getting ... ", and you can hear someone in the audience mouthing it back, knowing exactly what's coming.

'Splosions.

90 percent of "heritage acts" play the hits/the more well known songs.

Why we continue to have these conversations is surprising.

They're ALWAYS gonna play LG, Deuce, DRC, RARAN, SIOL, etc. They're never going to whip out Mr. Speed or Hide Your Heart in a Summer shed show.

The people who go to see KISS now (along with all the 70's bands) want a night of entertainment and to hear songs they know.

Whether they know Shock Me any more than MDD is anyone's guess, but to Gene and Paul they have an acceptable playlist and that's not going to change.

We're a dozen or so years into this season of the band and this is what it is. I won't see them this tour because I've paid to see them play these songs a few dozen times when they were much better.

But for those who want to see this incarnation of the band, these are the songs they'll play.

Find it funny how they talk about playing the hits but probably their biggest hit 'I Was Made For Lovin You' wasn't even played.

And what about "Hard Luck Woman"? Made it to #17, I believe. You telling me more people know 100,000 Years?
