Taking Carnival Of Souls original thread and removing all the garbage would take too long, so here's a recap.

I think we're six (?) shows in so far - has anyone collated attendance figures, even if estimated, yet?

If you have something useful to contribute, please do. From my figures (in brackets is the running total) to try and extrapolate attendance from the Wounded Warrior running total. Reported audience figures expected to be reported higher since donations represents paid tickets (which may also be adjusted along the way (or not accurate at all)... We'll post pollstar/boxscores when available Any guesses are in bold, other figures are simple math with possibility of simple math errors.

There were WAYYYYYY more than 8,750 people at Pittsburgh. The Pavillion was completely full and the pavillion holds 7,000 or something like that and then the lawn probably had a good 13,000.

Free lawn seats are not counted and I've been told be a life long bud that works at Live Nation that these $10 lawn seats are being treated just like FREE lawn seats(not counted).I don't know personally(just relaying what I was told) but that would explain the low "reported" numbers for Pittsburgh when every picture shows the place packed.

I've been to the Comcast Center in Mansfield (Boston) many times over about 20 years. I'd estimate attendance at the show to be 10-12,000. Pavillion was 95% full at 7800 capacity, the uncovered seating and lawn holds the remainder of the venues 19,000 capacity. Although sparsely populated, 3-5000 people spread over that area seems entirely possible to me

Hershey was empty and security said they had around 7,000 so that figure is totally bogus. They also did not offer free lawn seats that night since there isn't any lawn at Hersheypark Stadium.

The check presented at Hershey represented total adjusted paid attendance for all shows up to Hershey,not meaning that all of the 16,000 added to checked that night were at Hershey,but an adjusted(new) total up through Hershey.It's a rolling total.

But You did just post a picture of a venue that holds 30,000 about a third full.

Actually you'd think that the front 2 sections on each side were full from that pic, but they weren't. You can see that the 3rd section out was full pre show while the sections in front closer to the stage weren't, and didn't completely fill. Granted this photo was earlier, but the 3rd section out was the most full in the grandstands - probably because it has less of an angle.

Yeah , but right now we don't have individual show numbers.All we have is a running total that is shown at each show. We do know there's 105,932 plus the 4700 from the make up show for the whole tour .We just don't know individual show paid attendance yet.And as the Admin. pointed out this total will only go up once the free lawn seats are added in.

These are very solid numbers. Let's not forget that we had people predicting that KISS would pull 4/5k per night on the HSOE tour, due to oversaturation from touring last year.

I'd say that's pretty accurate. The venue holds just under 22,000 and while it was packed there was still a few empty seats and some green in the lawn section. I said to my buddy last nite that I figured 17-18,000. Not a bad turnout for a band that's doomed to fail.

Iron Maiden, who completed their 23 date "Final Frontier" tour (for which I have 22 stats excluding the two festival dates) grossed $14,248,528 with 269,008 of 399,324 tickets sold. Or 67.37% with an average audience of 12228. I don't think these numbers will change substantially if I get the Saskatoon data. They have a similar stage production (sans Paul's mid-floor mini stage) and diehard/casual following...

Not to mention a less expensive ticket in the Orchestra seating. Maiden did very well, as has KISS.

Nice to see that when many acts have scrapped plans to tour or were forced to cut it short, bands like KISS, MAIDEN, PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS, AEROSMITH, RUSH and other classic bands are out there thriving in this lousy economy. Hats off to them.

Not to stir shit up, and I know it's only about a third of the way through the HSOE tour, but as of right now these numbers are better than Alive Worldwide/Reunion numbers. Now hold on before anyone starts popping off on the keyboards. Obviously there's only 35 dates compared to 192, and the total tickets sold arent going to be 2 plus million. But these are the facts:

Alive Worldwide/Reunion 1996, 97 average attendance 13,737
Hottest Show On Earth 2010 as of August 15th 13,742

Not too terrible for a band who was supposed to put up laughable numbers up on this Summers tour. As a matter of fact, if you look at the stats over the last two years, they stand up against any that KISS has ever had. Fact. I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with any of the naysayers out there, im just saying, "As always, it's great to be a KISS fan."

i like maiden saw them at msg..there production now is second rate backdrops and the same stage with a few new things.. kiss is touring with 16 semi trucks almost 2 times the amount of gear maiden is using not a knock on maiden at all..there doing well but have only done 16 shows in the usa in the last 12 months were kiss will have done almost 70 in one year..

I really think Kiss is killing em at these shows. They r winning over new fans. I heard so many people I know that attended, rave and say that they will never miss a Kiss show again. I would love to see them get back in the studio and give us a really kick ass record, wait a little and tour in 2012.
