It's a little strange that the media haven't been notified yet if they have been approved or not to photograph/review the show (or if the show indeed is going to be cancelled/postponed), and it's almost 1 p.m.

If the boys were on that plane last night as of 3:23am I could confirm that the show was cancelled.
For the life of me I can’t fathom the hold up letting the fans know.
There were MANY time I flew in for a KISS concert day of show.
Now if it really is a game time decision, then it is what it is.
If they knew last night I’d BE PISSED.

Only KISS show I had cancelled was the original date on the WD tour at Comerica Park in Detroit. I live 350 miles north, and we were around 100 miles out of Motown when word started hitting radio stations that most of the eastern 1/3 of the US was in a massive power outage. By the time we hit Flint, about 50 miles out, the show was officially cancelled. No power at Comerica.
So we went to the local Hooters and got drunk.
That's how we handle bad news.

Me, too. For the Kiss/Crue 2012 concert there at the BOK, media weren't notified if they were approved or not to photograph/review until late in the day. It was close to 2 or 2:30 p.m., if I remember, which is super late. Media usually are notified the morning of, with sometimes notice occasionally (but not usually) being given a day or two in advance.

The whole thing is odd. I just hope a member of the crew or band didn't get sick. That's the only reason I can think of that they'd be delaying an announcement. Unless it's a business decision, because who covers the lost event - BOK, KISS or the promoter?
I just read that SXSW (South By Southwest) if not issuing refunds for their canceled event, and it may jeopardize 2021 even happening (https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/c ... und-policy).

It’s been postponed and moved to Sunday October 4th. Biloxi & Lafayette are also moved to October 6th & 7th.

I love reading the comments from angry, entitled KISS fans on KISS' Facebook page who are upset and think the world revolves around them only, and they have zero concern for the band or other fans.

This is what I just read " The final three shows of the spring leg of the #KISS #EndOfTheRoad Tour are being rescheduled out of an abundance of caution.
Tulsa, OK will now be Sunday, October 4th at BOK Center; Biloxi, MS will now be Tuesday, October 6th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum; and Lafayette, LA will now be Wednesday, October 7th at Cajundome.
Tickets will be honoured on the new date.
The Fall leg of the tour remains unchanged. The band looks forward to seeing the fans very soon."

initial reactions are usually a bit overboard. I'm sure most will calm down and see it for what it is soon.

Yeah. I was definitely excited to go tonight, but I get it. Better to be safe.

But they care so much about their fans! If they knew last night and said nothing... totally inexcusable! They should have to reimburse fans airfare, hotel etc.

It would have been up to Live Nation to carry communicable disease insurance. If they aren't carrying it.... then they have to cover the expenses.
SXSW is so over-rated. I'd be fighting my credit card company on that one. I hope this sinks future events there.

I’d go as far as inconsiderate. Anyone has a right to feel however they may.TheSphinx wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:27 amnibbler1982 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 10:47 am If the boys were on that plane last night as of 3:23am I could confirm that the show was cancelled.

I don’t know about reimbursement and all that jazz though.
However...if I just landed in Tulsa I would be HEATED.

Business world has red tape and layers of BS they got it out soon as possible. Let’s focus and all KISS fans or not. Be civil cut some slack and we will be back arguing and bickering as usual.
