Daughter and I had a great time. It was awesome to experience the show with her. Nice way to close things out 30 years after my first show.

For some reason both guitars start Parasite at the same time instead of the lead player starting it.

What a boring set list, but it was well expected.
DLR sounds really good!
American audiences are really "wild" these days... :) :) :)

Good overall set, though I do wish "Say Yeah" was given a rest. Firehouse or Strutter in its place would have been better. Hotter Than Hell, Got To Choose, more.

I'm most excited about Tears Are Falling, tho' it's good to see Parasite too. Overall, not much difference in the set.

Interesting - out of the first 9 songs, only 4 are 70's songs, and there's actually a stretch in the first half of the show where they play an incredible 6 songs in a row that are not from the 70s. Not saying good or bad, just an observation.
I’m shocked how similar this setlist looks compared to the first farewell - it’s like 16 songs that r the same.

I'll write some later once I've had some rest. But it was a good concert. Not as great/stellar as Boston '19. But damn good.

I noticed some pyro hiccups quite a few times. The wrong UFOs blew up during Tommy's rockets, for example.

Some pyro went off at the wrong times or a few times you'd hear the popping going off without anything visible.

I also saw some flamethrowers on the right stage sputtering a few times randomly.

Anyone else think that the high end got really low in the mix after the second song?

I'm trying not to look at the set even though I assume not much is going to change, but I did see Tears was added and I'm thrilled. It's my favorite of the 80's material and up there with my favorites in KISS' catalog. I hope it stays in the set by the time they get to LA.

This may be just me - but I feel like Eric looked like he was really tired and trying to pace himself a lot. He seemed worn out, just in how he looked playing and with his breathing.

I dunno. Hope he's okay.

That's awesome! Was this sometime after the show?

I've seen him outside of a KISS show twice, with the first being at NAMM and I was a little star struck (first time I met anyone associated with KISS) and I said something short that I can't really remember, but he replied with a nice greeting and my name. I looked at him shocked and asked how he knew my name, and he said, "It's on your badge"

Why do fans go to shows to nit pick at how it all went down? What a bummer of a time you'll have being an engineer minded fan................ Have an adult beverage for hell sake and enjoy yourself for a few hours. Isnt that whats its all about at the end of the day? :?

Dont be afraid to be entertained and not OVERTHINK everything.

With the new songs, and DLR I would say the whole package has improved from the earlier legs of the tour. Obviously it could be better by swapping out Say Yeah, and 100,000 years. DLR is a huge addition. I feel the thing with Garbaldi was in my opinion a bit insulting. Paul was trying to force fans to be "Art Enthusiasts" just because he's hung up on it. Fans tonight got the best show of the EOTR so far I feel. I am really hoping to see this tour.

Well, yeah.

I only wrote about the technical issues because I'm pointing out why it wasn't as killer of a show as Boston '19.

But adding "Parasite" almost makes it a better show.

I agree with that. Having a proper opener from KISS' era helps. And I think the set list is better than at the start of the EOTR tour.

I find the few pods annoying. When I saw the show from my cheap seat at the Forum last year, the whole stage looked amazing; so when tickets went on sale for Staples Center, I spent way more than I usually would to get floor seats specifically to get the full effect of the pods, and now I know I will be getting less. Grant it, I know its probably not a big deal and I know I'm going to have a great time, but its one of those things where I know in the back of my mind I'm not getting the full effect from the original stage design.

Love the song though, one of my faves. Wish they'd played it on the UK run

He has to learn not to lean away from the mic when the backing track is still running.

Seems that he has got lazy on this lipsynching. Also during the chorus he is nowhere near the mic.

Give him half a dozen shows, it’s a new song. When he started lipping 18 months ago ALL the songs had blatant flubs like that.

DLR actually seems to listen to advice. He keeps it simple, and tries to follow the original phrasing in the songs.

After watching some videos from the show, even though they have scaled back the production a little, it still looks pretty good. If you have just seen a couple of shots of the stage you probably won't notice the reduction.
