I don't tend to get too excited about things in general, maybe it's middle age, but I'm excited about tomorrow.

At 53, I agree with you. I’ve been making my wife crazy this week with the videos. Tomorrow night we do get to sing along with Detroit Rock City in all its bombastic glory!! And I’m sitting with a guy who’s never seen them before so it’ll be great to see it through his eyes.
I hope everyone has a fantastic time tomorrow!

Cheapest seats for this show are $74 in the nosebleed section.

That's why I just said fuck it and got a good seat. Wasn't much more at that point.

They sold over 220 tickets on Groupon in the 100 & 200 levels at $40-45 each with no service fees. The deal ended yesterday, though. Plenty of other (& cheaper) Groupon deals to be had for other cities on the Feb-March routing, too.

Wonder if that pyramid thing behind the drums will be smaller since they have to accomodate another entire band setup on the stage this time.

It looks like, from Paul's last tweet, that the back wall (screen) is smaller just like the one they used in Japan. It looks like they have dropped the spikes around it as well

I'm very anxious to see what new tunes they bring back tonight, my guess it they will definitely be 'hits,' I'd say some good guesses would be Strutter, Firehouse, and for Gene maybe Christine Sixteen, and maybe they'll really throw in a surprise semi-hit and do Unholy.

Have a good time attendees!

I'm going to say Creatures of the Night in for Heaven's on Fire, Shock Me in for Cold Gin with Cold Gin replacing LMGRNR. Strutter in as the encore after Beth.

I think Shock Me has as good a chance as most of the possible new songs. Maybe even drop Beth for Shock Me? Save costs hauling the piano, will be interesting.

Best bets I think to make their tour debuts are anything (that's not a crazy rare song) that has been done on the Kruises the last two years. That song list would be...

Shock Me
Hotter Than Hell
Hell or Hallelujah
Strutter
Watchin' You (most unlikely one on this list)
Got to Choose
Christine Sixteen
God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You.

I'll say...

Modern Day Delilah in for Say Yeah
Parasite and Hotter Than Hell in for 100,000 Years
Strutter in for the Crazy Nights/Do You Love Me scenario.

But it's papered I say! :)
I always love those people...band I don't like sells well "It's heavily papered" As if using an industry term makes them and expert and they would not have any knowledge of said papering anyways.

I also have yet to meet 1 person who got into any show for free because they were just giving tickets away.
Obviously, you didn't get the joke..... :)

I've seen then twice this tour and loved it. I was making fun of the naysayers.

Tick tock... Closing in on showtime

Songs I'd like to see :

Strutter
Firehouse
I Stole Your Love
Tears are Falling
Unholy

Songs I'd be OK not seeing :
Let Me Go R&R
100,000 Years
War Machine
Say Yeah
Do You Love Me

Regardless, I just hope for a good time. It's all that really matters.

Is this the usual?

Also re setlist, I predict shock me in for cold gin. Nothing more..
Seems to be, they reduced the number of pods to 11 during the Euro tour.

They haven't touched Modern Day Delilah since 2011 when they played it once, probably because it doesn't really fit in the setlist other than as an opening song.

Another leg of EOTR begins tonight. With roughly 350 seats showing it looks like we’re off to a good start. It appears reports of KISS’ ultimate demise are greatly exaggerated once again.

Fantastic!
It seems like we go through this every time they start a new tour or another leg of a tour. Predictions of doom & gloom turn into snarky comments like “tickets were discounted”, “people only go for the show”, “KISS fans will accept anything these days” or the old faithful “the audience doesn’t know it’s not Ace & Peter”.

Awesome Dave set! Quick question ---

I didn't read it yet (but intend to, I'm very late) but didn't Dave in his bio trash Gene, mainly for "trying to steal" Eddie or something? I guess if there was any bad blood it's gone, DLR and Kiss, great pairing for a show.
