Re: EOTR 2019 - Aug. 8, Charleston, SC
They just opened quite a few really good seats. Still many good floor seats remaining and surprised there has been another price drop yet. I imagine prices will drop tomorrow. Already got our seats, but some folks are going to make out great tomorrow or Thursday.

I'm not going to that show but I just checked what was available. 3rd Row Center stage for 199...... I refreshed it and now nothing is available anymore. Maybe I'll do that for Brooklyn

Still no price drop on the second row tickets though! I thought it would be a bigger price drop on some of the others too.

At the beginning of the day there were ~1,000 tickets available. As of 7:30pm that number has been roughly cut in half. Let’s hear it for KISS Army Charleston!

No surprises, although I did notice they dropped the little jam at the end of LMGRAR.
All in all, great show. I picked my tickets up at will call and asked if I could be moved to 12th row on the floor being that those dropped to $99. They couldn’t do it for me. After I sat in my seat I realized I was much closer than 12th row.

I really wish Eric would’ve painted a tear on his makeup to commemorate the 2000 Charleston show that happened almost 20 years ago. Ya know, the last ever kiss concert to feature the original four.

Great show and being indoors was nice with the intense heat and humidity we are getting in NC and SC. Charlotte and Va Beach are going to be hot!
I got my favorite shot ever of Gene staring straight at me.

Per setlist.fm, they dropped the jam at the end of LMGRNR at the first show on Tuesday's Sunrise show as well. When I read in the review for that show that the show came in exactly 2 hours, I figured something was dropped. That's kind of a bummer, because I enjoyed that when I saw them in Louisville.warmachine731 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:19 pm D56C9DC1-C598-43D3-A373-63301663CE55.jpegAwesome show. Same as the other night with CCN remaining in the encore. I was in section 133 row A. About 25 feet from Genes side of the stage.

I also enjoyed the jam, it was something new and fresh at least, in the same old set list. Kinda reminds me of Acrobat/love theme, I know it doesn't sound like it but a jam nonetheless. Oh well, it is what it is I suppose.BeholderFan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:17 amPer setlist.fm, they dropped the jam at the end of LMGRNR at the first show on Tuesday's Sunrise show as well. Re: EOTR 2019 - Aug. 8, Charleston, SC
I was at the Charleston show. I thought it was excellent. One of the best visual stage shows I have seen KISS do. If that is the last show I see, I am more than happy. For a final KISS tour, I thought KISS did a phenomenal job.
Thought Paul sounded good. He knows his voice, but if I were him I would cut back 50% of the between song chatter. He sounded rough on those. Performance-wise the band was tight. And I thought the set list was about as good as you can expect to meet the needs of all types of fans. Having Psycho Circus, Say Yeah, Crazy Nights, Heaven's on Fire...those songs helped round out the band's career.
I agree that Deuce should be 2nd instead of 3rd switching with Shout It Out Loud.
I think War Machine was my favorite song of the night and with all of the stage stuff.
Loved the inclusion of Sam the Serpent and him blowing smoke. That was nice.
The Fire, Explosions, Video Screens, Colored Lighting, Lasers, Fireworks, Streamers, Confetti, Beach Balls etc etc. Just a TON of stuff packed into that show.

We ended up selling our 133 Row B's for $150 right before the show. Lost about $50.00. BUT we upgraded to the front row of 133 seats 1 and 2 for $69.50 each!!! Production holds that went on sale about 3 hours before doors opened. We were dead even with front row and the whole time I was thinking "the guy 5 feet from me paid $1000." Best seats I have had in ages for a Kiss show.warmachine731 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:19 pm D56C9DC1-C598-43D3-A373-63301663CE55.jpegAwesome show. Awesome show (#38 for me and #3 for my son). Might have been the most fun I had at a Kiss show. Other than the stinky drunk dude next to my son. I have a pretty high tolerance for idiots, but I had to set him and his obnoxiousness straight. I actually got thanked by the security guy after the show.
Oddly enough, I thought CCN was a great addition to the show and thought it worked well. Especially, with the giant balloons which I didn't remember from Jax.

You got an incredible upgrade and glad you got to experience this show the way that you did. It was a great show and I had a blast too. Funny, it truly is easy to knock the show based on the set, but it is a solid set and it’s impossible to please everybody. CCN has always been one of my favorites and it doesn’t hurt being born in 1987 and having a song that represents.
I have to count again for myself. Charlotte tonight I believe is show #25 for me, over 9 or 10 states.

Enjoy! I thought about Charlotte, since I was up that way but didn't want to press my luck with my wife! Plus I think next year they will hit Orlando and/or Pensacola if in fact the tour does actually go 2 to 3 years.warmachine731 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:36 amI was thinking the whole time, I don’t see somebody with their son behind me. Interested to hear what your take is on a "shed" show and how the arena show translates/compares.

I’m pressing my luck with my wife . My sisters in town, we went to KISS here in CHS. We all trekked out to Charlotte last night (3 hour hike) to see John Mayer. And we’re all going back tonight for KISS. I’ll certainly report back to compare the arena show and the shed show for this tour.KF73 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:44 amEnjoy!
Interested to hear what your take is on a "shed" show and how the arena show translates/compares.
And you’re right. There are still untapped markets for them to hit again. And when the final run of shows actually happens, they will make that beyond known that this is it. Plus it will be a huge marketing ploy and massive money grab that they would not give up. I truly believe that is when you’ll start seeing former members.

Charlotte was miserable! Wish they would've played the arena uptown. But it was a great show nonetheless!BlackDiamond67 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 5:55 am Great show and being indoors was nice with the intense heat and humidity we are getting in NC and SC. Charlotte and Va Beach are going to be hot!
