In the Fall of 1979 both The Pope and KISS were in Des Moines, Iowa on the same exact day. I don't have the details but it happened.
They appeared separately at different locations. If not KISS would have been the opening act for The Pope because he drew 350,000 plus. =

Again you nailed it Brother Doose.

It looked about the same a month ago. This one didn’t pick up like some of the others did. It’s not awful, but I guess if you go to the well one too many times you’re gonna come up short. Without a huge walk up I honestly believe it’s going to be the worst attended show in 2019. Edging out Little Rock and Oakland. There’s no bird’s eye view for the interactive map, but this color coded diagram will give everyone a picture.

9000 for Des Moines is not that bad, unless they are at 55-60 a ticket, if that is the case thats fairly low for this tour. I'm sure we'll get a boxscore at some point.

I would put attendance at about 80-85% though I am not an attendance master like Nibs. Probably about the same as when I saw them in the same arena with Def Leppard in 2014. Appeared Paul was singing more. A lot more vocal gymnastics between songs too. Gene was much more vocal with his "Oh yeahs" in between songs too. Felt like there was a few different effects throughout since I last saw them in March. Crazy Nights seemed to go over better than DYLM did previously as well. The guys looked to be really enjoying themselves as well. Also, Des Moines was spelled correctly on the shirts.

9,000 people isn't bad, though, when you consider the population of Des Moines is 215,000.

They had 14,000 people at the LA Forum in a city with a population of 4 million.
