It is an incredibly sad day in history for sure, however life is going on. MLB has played on every date since 2002. All business's, and stores are open. There are enough memorials for people to reflect, but to imply that that KISS is in some ways wrong for having a show tonight for the good people of Albuquerque is not right. As well I think that we all have the right to concern our self with tonight's show void of any feelings of guilt. I am sure KISS isn't the only band playing a gig tonight either for a sake of a "pay check." Hell, I have to go to work in a half hour for the sake of my "pay check".

I totally agree with you. Look, I don't agree with everything the band does, but KISS playing on 9/11 when lots of other businesses are open and other bands are playing on this day is not the hill for some people to die on.

I always took the stance that YES, 9/11 is a day of remembrance, but I also see it as a day to love life. The terrorists wanted to ruin America, they wanted us to be scared and not live our lives the way we wanted. Remembering 9/11 should be a day to reaffirm that life is good, and worth living. If people want to go to concerts, so be it. If they want to go to a memorial, ok. Its that choice that makes us American.

And just FYI, I lived in Jersey City NJ when 9/11 happened, you could see the twin towers from my college dorm room. I was at ground zero doing all I could during that time, including giving blood, volunteering and helping in any way I can.

I was in Manhattan that day myself.

All mass transit was locked down so I had to walk back to Long Island. Six pack of talls in hand.

It was a long walk. :D

All kidding aside it was quite surreal. Everyone was hightailing it out of town like a Godzilla movie but the King was nowhere to be found. Staring at the smoldering new skyline at the bridge’s apex will stick with me forever.

It is what it is.

Funny how they have about 8 FRONT ROW seats left for the show that's only hours away.

And still numerous 2nd row seats left that could be had for $160. Yeah, I think I'd be buying 2nd row and saving $840 and get almost the same vantage point.

Great show, lots of fun. My wife is not a KISS fan and she still had a great time. Setlist was standard. Paul's flying gimmick failed to bring him back to the stage at the end of, "I Was Made For Lovin' You". It took him just a few feet from his platform/stage and dangled him over the fence and crowd, they got him down and a large cluster of security escorted him through the audience back to the stage. No Gene and Tommy over the crowd either, they just went up on those standard on-stage platforms at the end of "Rock and Roll All Nite". Lots of drunks dancing especially during, "I Was Made...", pretty funny. The sound was great, very bass-heavy without being distorted (the folks up front must've had their brains scrambled by the bass, it was loud but sounded great on the lawn).

Our Lyft driver said the KISS crowd seemed smaller than the country concerts that she drives people to/from, for those that are interested in crowd size.
