I will be there too.
Hate the venue, but it may very well be the last time around. Will stand in line to purchase the tourbook during the 'support act'. KISS will be better than watching paint dry...

Re: EOTR 2019 - Jun. 25, Amsterdam, Holland
This was it. It might well have been the very last time... in amsterdam that is.
The arena was better filled than previously in 2015. Second ring was pretty crowded as well.
KISS Army was already warmed up by the wonderful weather (36 degrees hot in the shade), so no support act was needed. Instead of a rock and roll show by Dead Daisies or ZZ Top, we got half an hour of entertainment by some Bob Ross dude painting numbers. More of an illusionist than an artist, this hyperactive guy tried a little too hard. In Holland we call this 'een aansteller'. But hey, we are used to people like Hans Klok. When this Garibaldi guy painted the name of the city with just one swipe, we knew for sure.
KISS could only be better than watching paint dry, and they were!
With Sam the Serpent back on the stage, we were ready for yet another nostalgic trip down memory lane. I liked the stage and the show better than the last few times I got to see KISS. The musical performance goes downwards every time. With all the fuzz about the lip synching I did not get it quite right: if this was pre-recorded vocals, why do they sound so bad?? Paul sounded terrible and each and every time you get to wonder why Gene does not do more songs.
The old clips on the background were a nice touch; they are not completely ignoring Ace and Peter. Drum solo was allright; seeing Thommy copying Aces solo spot is cringeworthy. Gene appeared to have some technical problems multiple times. Paul referring to the non-seated public as 'animals' was pretty funny. Gene spitting after kissing Thommy was pure comedy. Gene is getting to old to fly; but Paul still flies over the crowd. Eric performing Beth from behind the piano was a good touch. I did not see that before. KISS played a decent 2 hours and it was over before we knew. Stale setlist? Yes. Did KISS deliver? Yes. Did I enjoy myself? Yes. Was this really the last time? Uhm...

Re: EOTR 2019 - Jun. 25, Amsterdam, Holland
It was very good. Paul seems to barely play his guitar except for the moments that it's really needed. I tried not to think about lipsync and to simply enjoy it. Heaven's on fire went over very well as far as I could tell. I really liked Tommy moving round the stage as Gene was clearly getting to old to lift his knees. 100000 years suprised me for not being boring, I really loved the drumsolo. I don't like Beth, but the way it's done on this tour is actually nice. I was made... got a good reaction, but I didn't think it was that good. Never thought of Crazy Crazy Nights as an encore song, but it was awesome at the tail end of the show! All in all, it was a fun evening. Good music, the stage and show was good & hanging out with friends!
I have a feeling they keep coming back for a second Euro-leg, cause 'the fans keep begging for them to come back for the real final-final shows". Wouldn't suprise me to see them next year on some select dates and a couple of festivals... We'll see, I'm okay with this being the end.
