Classic pics, Smekaren! Thanks for sharing. They couldn't afford to give Tommy a newer piece of cloth? Or maybe it is the spa rock star version?

Wonder if they're doing greater numbers anywhere else in Europe?

Impressive how strong the support for KISS is (and have been through the years) in Sweden....

You know, the song is simplistic, and many of us die-hards have wearied of it over the years, but you can't deny its universal appeal. Easily one of the most recognizable songs in rock history. Most bands would kill to have something similar.

I'm not sure what the battle cry "doomed" has to do with YOUR comment. One has nothing to do with the other. But since you brought it up, the word on the street tells me late '17/early '18.

All always...card subject to change.

Yeah, like when promoters get a listen of Paul's voice from this European tour. Paul's a turkey at this point, and not a well cooked one either. He's the turkey from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. If you stuck a fork in him, he'd deflate and turn to nothing.

While I'm sure this board could go on forever critiquing Paul's vocals...I'm gonna go on record saying that Paul's voice never even comes up when promoters are negotiating a guarantee with KISS.

Sure, except I don't think they've ever sounded as bad as they do on this current European trek.

In short: it was a lot of fun, great seeing them again! It's been a while, I got turned off going to their gigs after giving the current lineup a chance in 2008 (Alive/35 tour), which was far from the magical gigs I saw here in 1996, 1997 & 1999, and Alive is a (THE most) sacred record that can't be given justice without two key figures (80s songs were done better). After seeing recent clips from Moscow, my expectations were far from great when it came to Paul's voice, but it was better than that, he got through it. Gene saved the day - and the great songs, of course. Very glad for not having to suffer a drum solo and/or Beth from mr Singer (well, I didn't go to the meet & greet). Some technical mishaps but other Swedes can fill you in on those if you're keeping a track record (no rocket's during TT:s solo for example).

I saw the gig in Stockholm last week and I have to say it sucked despite all hurrahs you may have heard.
Why? Was it because of the great sound, the OK stage set, the tight co-operation between Gene, Eric and Tommy.
No, none of the above.
First I gotta tell you that I am a HUGE Ace fan, but I actually don't have anything against Eric and Tommy; they are both great misicians. But still, it's not Ace and Peter and it's not their decision to act as cloones.
What really is bothering me is Paul. In my opinion he IS Kiss; he has always written the best songs and he has always prioritised Kiss in front of everything else.
When Gene was aiming for a Hollywood career in the beginning of the eighties and Ace and Peter drifted in to heavy drug usage, it was Paul who kept the ship from sinking.
So I have the deepest respect for him. But to see him onstage nowdays is embarrasing. You have seen the clips and I agree with all that have been said: he can't sing no more, he hardly play the guitar and he looks tired in general.
If the rest of the band was as lousy as he is, it would indeed be a farce.
I was actually on my way leaving the gig before the end but I decided to see it all because of the shitload of money I paid for the ticket.
I've been a fan for more than 40 years and I'll still be a fan but this was the last gig for me. Sorry.
