Just got home. Place was packed! Between the two shows I've seen on this tour, this one and Grand Rapids, I give Grand Rapids the slight edge. Also got autographs from the Dead Daisies!

Set is the same as Grand Rapids, but Rick Nielsen made a surprise appearance during Rock And Roll All Nite, playing Paul's purple mirror Iceman and taking the lead solo!

Set list:

Detroit Rock City
Deuce
Shout It Out Loud
Do You Love Me
I Love It Loud
Flaming Youth
God Of Thunder
Psycho Circus
Shock Me
Cold Gin
Lick It Up
War Machine
Love Gun
Black Diamond

Encores
Beth
Star Spangled Banner
Rock And Roll All Nite (Special Guest Rick Nielsen)

I was there with my wife. I have to disagree on the place being packed, but it was a "good" crowd. The show was very enjoyable. It was great to hear Flaming Youth, but it seemed as Tommy butchered the solo. Paul, oh man, Paul. There really isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said about his voice, but damn, even his stage raps are stressed. He has to slow and stagger some of the longer words. However, the band is making up for Paul's shortcomings pretty well with some really good harmonizing of the background vocals.

I wish Paul would drop that stupid "stage voice" he uses. He didn't use it during the non make-up years, and there is NO reason for it now. The pledge of allegiance is pretty damn corny too, but their version of the Star Spangled Banner rocks like crazy.

Very cool to see them invite Rick Nielsen on stage to play RARAN and do his version of the solo. Very rare that something like this happens.
