Thats my hometown. Gonna be there with my wife & adult daughter. Gonna be pretty cool. Gonna be wearing my Eric Carr Rockheads shirt. Always try to wear one that's KISS related, but not quite on the nose

Me, my wife, 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son will be driving from Memphis to Harrison, Arkansas, to my Father and mother in laws house. We are taking them to the show. They grew up loving Bowie and Aerosmith but have never seen KISS. Can't wait!! It'll be cool to see them in a smaller place also. It'll be the first time since Revenge to see them outside of an arena.

My sister is driving from Memphis as well. She's driving back after the show, & I'll probably stick around a bit then drive back home myself

Great way to start the day...9 trucks and a few tour busses bring it home that KISS is in our town! We have a couple of excited sons and are looking forward to tonight... First off is the Little League championship game this afternoon, then KISS tonight for myself, my bride, and our 10 and 15 year old boys...couldn't ask for more!

Last I checked there were 889 tickets left as per their interactive map. No, I didn't actually count them in this instance. :D If you hover over a section it gives you a total.

How many tickets (roughly) were up for sale for this particular show?

They were giving away unsold tickets to staff at the University a couple days ago. My wife and I both work there. However we have had our tickets for several months.

JQH Arena is on the campus of Missouri State University.

*********Correction: My wife just informed me, Free tickets were given out to VETERANS ONLY. :)

I for one think it's absolutely wonderful that veterans get free tickets. A lot of people say they do suff like this for publicity. I don't know what their true motives are but in the end it benefits the men and women that defend our country.

God bless KISS.

Agreed. If it was really just publicity they'd plaster it all over their social media, but I haven't heard anything other than what Cold-Gin said. Seems pretty genuine to me. :thumright:

I had a great time, wife had a great time. What appeared to be a soldout crowd had a great time. Everything goes over well minus Creatures. Paul's issues have been beaten to death. Guy is still one hell of a showman. Flaming Youth obviously the highlight for me. Had pretty much a 12th row dead center seat. Hard to beat.

Great video...

I usually don't watch videos involving the current incarnation of the band, but i watched half of Detroit Rock City - i know I'm beating a dead horse here, but man does Paul sound awful. If that's how bad he sounds on the first song, i'd hate to hear him at the end. I think he knows his voice is going, so why would he do anything that he doesn't need to do vocally like scream before he even starts singing?

I'm not gonna pretend Paul doesn't have his vocal issues. Even the most one (starry) eyed biased, KISS Kool-Aid drinker would have to admit that, but when you listen to smart phone clips like these they really warp things. It's not nearly as harsh live as it is on video. I've seen them a few times in recent years and going into each show I was nervous to hear his voice, but it wasn't all that bad. My phone footage made him (and the whole band) sound awful though.

I love Paul but at this point I won't see Kiss live and that is the main reason. I prefer my last show of Kiss not be with Paul sounding like he does in this clip.

They aren't skimping on the pyro this year. I had a blast, and so did the rest of my family. My kids had the time of their lives. Paul sounded bad only on Shout it out Loud and Creatures. Everything else, he sang well.

Probably the best photo my wife took at this show at JQH Arena. This was the intro to Detroit Rock City, right after the curtain dropped.
