I took advantage of it. The floor is general admission anyways and knew this one isn't selling out. I'm at this place like twenty times a year, no bullshit.

This is NIBBLER TOWN!!!

I live 4 miles from the Paramount but wouldn't pay to see Ace judging from what I've heard about the shows so far. But I'm intrigued purely for the Spinal Tap element.

So if anyone wants to donate an extra freebee, I'll buy you a drink.

Fuck! Now I'm pissed that all I got were half priced seats!!! :D

Pre-show at Meehan's directly across the street. Look for a loud, shaved headed, Italian guy with his muscles popping outta his Lycra shirt (yes, I am that douche bag). They'll be a shot waiting with your name on it!

I'll be getting there around the same time. I'd be shocked if Ace came on before 9:00pm. I have zero interest in the opening band. I'll be across the street 'till then.

Ace just played 21 songs (read: 5 more than Kiss, these days) to 650+ people (according to venue box office, when I walked in). 2 hrs plus and fucking killed it. Surprise faves were "Toys" (my least fave on the new album); Strange Ways (wow... just wow... Ace nailed this); like others I can confirm the Kiss songs do go over best. Interesting ending to New York Groove... a chill out section midway thru Deuce.
By now everyone knows they moved "Shot Full of Rock" to elsewhere... no longer starts the show. (easy to guess what does). No big surprise songs...
Weird merch thing, though... a sign that read "sorry about t-shirt sizes, some merch is stuck in Buffalo" (literally 5 ft of snow there this week!!). The drummer is indeed fucking great. Scarlett is relaxing some and seems cooler when he does (didn't seem like the crazy muppet he usually does). Maybe the best I've seen Ace solo since with Maiden in '87. His playing is crystal clear fucking sharp, and loud enough tonight! Best playing I've heard from him since the reunion tour. Very energetic show.

Thanks for the review!

Did he drop Lost In Limbo again and play Rip It Out to kick it off?

   650 in a venue that holds 1,550 with a 2 for 1 sale and you think it's something. Of course you also claimed the first show was sold out and it wound up at less than HALF capacity.

WOW, relax Chachi. 650 SOLD per the promoter... floor was easily 80% full, reserved seats maybe 70% full.

You're high as a kite!!! That floor was a 30 to 40% full. First off there was all the room in the world for people to move around, very loosely filled. Second, just because people lined up to 80% the length of the floor doesn't mean it was 80% full. Everyone was just standing to get a center view. For the likes of Billy Joel, Don Henley, Elvis Costello, or Rick Springfield that floor's attendance width is pushed directly to both bars on the right and left. Tonight you could walk up with impunity and get a drink any time you wanted. As for the balcony about a third full. By your estimates the place would've had 1,200 people there tonight. The cute chubby blonde at will call told me about 500 tickets were sold as per amount of staff that was allotted for the evening. I was gonna say ~600 so the 650 you mentioned isn't far off. You're assesment of the situation is fantasy.

As for the show Ace kicked ass as usual. :D

Nice setlist, although the encores should be Ace Solo or his KISS stuff.

Still hoping something up front opens up for Atlantic City and then I'd hit that one too. The East Brunswick show was great, but now with Rip It Out back in the set I really want to go check him out again.

Shit, I have to print out my tickets. We are down in the mid-section, not sure which row but not that far back, I think 10 rows back. So glad the East Brunswick was great. I am looking forward to this gig like no other. Maybe we will see Ace in the casino after the show.
