About 20 minutes to showtime. I noticed that they appear to have ditched the descent platform that Tommy and Gene used during the Friday night show (and perhaps the Wed show?). It will be interesting to see what other changes will be in store for tonight.

I'm seeing KISS on my 47th birthday! This will be a memorable one.

I included one above with the noise meters that have been a bone of contention with The Joint and Paul.
Last night was the first show where they've been used even though Paul has asked for them to be displayed before he goes out into the crowd. Then, last night, they used them but showed Paul's face instead of the meters. Paul said, "Mr Director, could you quit putting my picture on the f***ing display instead of the sound meters?" The same thing happened again and Paul said, "someone lost their job - no big deal." Laughter ensued.

Here is my swag from the show. I was there with my mum and bro. My brother was hit in the face by Gene's towel as he was talking to the guy beside him

And Tommy acknowledged my t-shirt I was wearing even though it was an Ace airbrush one and threw me a pick! Then Eric handed me a drumstick and the lady beside me also got one. A great show. First time front row!!

This was quite a humorous part of the show.

I was seated directly behind the soundboard. I was worried it would be distracting with the activity around there, but it turned out to be a superb view. Dead on center. Shannon spent the entire show two feet in front of me dancing throughout, taking photos and posting them to Facebook. I was impressed in the sense she has seen the band countless times, so you might expect someone more jaded. She was really into it and was really taken by the 7 year old sitting with his mom next to me.

I was almost directly under the catwalk that descends for when Paul flies out. Pretty cool how he can play across the entire back of the room. The giant screens flanking both sides of the stage were tremendous.

I've probably seen KISS well over 50 times. While all the tricks are predictable, you definitely get consistency from the band. While I would personally like to see changes in both the show and set-list, the band now is really tailor made for a Las Vegas residency. I would be surprised not to see additional residencies going forward. While not sold-out, it was pretty packed. The Joint is a killer venue.

I was right behind you on the second row. You guys on the front were quite blessed with awesome items even though security was tough on you at times. I love how Eric, after he had tossed the first set of drumsticks, shook his finger in jest when security got on the folks for reaching over the rope.

I managed to get a Gene pick and caught one of his black towels. Later that night, while eating at Mr Lucky's, I saw Paul walk by as well as Eric. I said, "great show, Eric" and he waved. Then, the coach and GM (as well as the blonde dude) from LA KISS dined beside my girlfriend and I. Coach was injured and had one of those rolling devices....it had a basket on the front with a few bottles of beer. Pretty funny.

My brother informed me after the show that he saw Gene say something to Eric about throwing out his sticks and Eric gave him the finger, I think that is why he then just handed me and the woman beside me the drumsticks.

Cool. I'm going to the November 19th show, the day after my 49th birthday. Can't wait. Show be a very memorable one for me.
