My understanding is IF Notre Dame was to join a conference they are obligated contractually to join the ACC. I prefer they stay independent but who know anymore with all of this crap going on.

At one time PS was coming then they got Sanduskied, not really sure if they're ready now, we'll see . Like Ludz says , ND has a 'saved" place and will hold out as long as they can. If we get to 3-4 SUPER Conferences, playing 10 Conference games, they'd have to join one of them just to schedule games.

Like I said in a previous post, right now West Virginia is BEGGING to come,BIG 12 has been a disaster for them paying travel for all their non money making sports. This'll have the BIG 12 losing 3 teams.

Meanwhile, the SEC and the B1G are looking to poach ACC schools.

It's all just guessing right. Several days ago we all thought that this Texas/Oklahoma situation just popped and the BIG BAD SEC was trying to poach the BIG12. Now we find out that Tx/OU got together as quick as the season was over last year ,made a plan to stick together, then contacted the SEC themselves as early as December. Who knows what else is brewing.

Where does this leave the BIG12 after 25 ? Just UT and OU leaving puts them down to 8 teams, what will happen to them ?

“If I was the Big 12 I’d Ben on the phone with the PAC 12 and try to lock up the west in Super Conference. Heck even the WAC and/or Sun Belt.

Quote

The Big 12 is set to lose franchise members in Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC, and now, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby is saying ESPN is trying to put them out of business for good.

Bowlsby told CBS Sports that ESPN engaged the American Athletic Conference to "pursue" 3-5 Big 12 members with the promise of "future television proceeds."

This one stings, he was like watching a grandfather on TV. A great coach even better man.

When he was at West Virginia he offered Nick Saban a job as a GA on his staff. His father had just died and he offered the job to be closer to his mother.
“I learned more from the mistakes than from the good things.”
“Courage is doing something you need to do that might get you hurt.”
“Discipline to me is sacrifice; it's willingness to give up something you want to do, so you can better yourself.”
“That boy don't know the meaning of the word fear. In fact, I just saw his grades, and that boy don't know the meaning of a lot of words.”
“Somehow, I went from being too young, to being too old. Somewhere in there I must have been just right.”
“I am not happy with moral victories. Those things are forgotten.”
“Don't go to the grave with life unused.”
Dagum it ...this one stings

A Georgia assistant coach is not with the program, at least for the time being. Dawgs247 has confirmed that special teams coach Scott Cochran is currently not on staff due to personal reasons. No official announcement has been made by UGA, but Dawgs247 has confirmed via independent sources. The Athletic was the first to report. The long-time Alabama strength and conditioning coordinator was hired by Kirby Smart Smart to lead the special teams prior to last season.

It was St Bobby with Mikey. I really liked the kid. We had a lot in common, just decades apart. The whole single parent dealing with a crazy ex ,while raising you child experience. We talked a lot off board, still miss him , wonder about his son.

I hope not. Culturally and geographically neither of these are good fits for the ACC. Penn State absolutely belongs in the Big 10 and that is where Notre Dame belongs as well. Besides, why in hell would Penn State leave The Big 10 for the ACC when they get a lot more money being in the Big 10?

If any school should go to the ACC it's West Virginia. With Virginia and Virginia Tech already in the ACC, it just makes too much sense. I'll never understand why they are part of the Big 12 (well, Big 8 now).

Penn State tried to come, but got Sanduskied, doubt they'd ever try again with GOR deal the BIG has. From what I've been told. ND's deal is "IF" they come,Navy would be part of the deal. ND will remain independent as long as they possibly can.

WVU tried before they went to the BIG12. Louisville had to jump thru hoops ,upping their academic requirements each year until they were even with the rest of the Conference. At the time ,WVU was way behind Louisville academically . I have no idea where they'd be now, but would like to see them get out of the BIG12 before it finishes imploding. The PAC12 and the AAC are about to scoop up the scraps

IMO the Big 10 needs to pick up Kansas and Iowa State. The ACC needs to pick up West Virginia. The PAC 12 needs to pick up Oklahoma State, Baylor, and TCU. And programs like Texas Tech and Kansas State need to go to the AAC.

Another team that I'm very interested to see what happens to is Cincinnati. They need to get out of Group of 5 and get into a power 5 conference because they are too good of a program to be in the AAC.

That's because "Instagram Massage Therapists" are the salt of the earth  That said , DW brought all this on himself by the type of woman he hangs with. I remember the Tweet after signing his contract was with a porn star. Like Grandma said, "you lay down with dogs, you gonna eat up with fleas".

After failed extortion attempts and not being able to get the police to file charges, they've went to a GJ, he'll be indicted soon, as the GJ process doesn't allow for any defense. Looking back, he should have just paid the hush money when they were trying to blackmail him. You see, guilty or not,I don't have a clue, but guilty or not, this is how all this started ,with a lawyer demanding $$$ to keep his clients from filing charges(going public)

Of course you and I think us were the 2 that won it those 2 years.

I'm missing something, undoubtedly I haven't kept up as much this off season as I have in the past, but sure seems to be a lot of Oklahoma love among the press.

Is USC the last team to go wire to wire back in 04?

OU ?? I guess the media knows they will score a zillion points this year and they are a bit better on D, so i guess that is where the love is.

In today's landscape only 5 teams are really gonna win it, OSU, Y'all , US, UGA, OU and maybe A&M

A@M are over ranked every year and  @ OU. They have yet to win a playoff game.

That can't be a real quote, just a made up meme ? No kid at the college level would be dumb enough to say that out loud ?
