Wish they would play LMGRNR as the 2:16 album version instead of the 6 minute live version. This way they would add another song to the set, and still keep LMGRNR.

Great show. That place was Damn near sold out. EVERYONE WHO CAN, should do the new backstage upgrade package. Thstc was phenomenal. ... and tonight was the first one. Amazing. BTW, Def Leppard walked right past us after thier sound check.

Can you confirm if the band played Psycho Circus, Lick It Up, LMGRNR, and Love Gun?

The return of LIU & LG is disappointing. Cold Gin being dumped is sad as well but the addition of Deuce is a definate positive. Hopefully the will mix things up like this throughout the tour.

Every band has their essential "classics" they must play. They get precedent with a shorter set, to boot. That said, kick out "Hide Your Heart" and "Sucko Circus" and put in two newer songs.

I didn't catch Kobra at all. Thier last song, faded out prematurely, and they got the boot. Interesting. I learned that the whole show was running like 20 mins behind sched.....

True, but the fact that they may be willing to mix things up is a positive all around , no matter what songs they use.

Only DAMN NEAR sold out? Hmph. This band really is doomed...on their last legs...this tour's a flop.

Seriously, though...glad you had a great time, KISH.

I say it's back for good and I am glad for it. It's only one of their best tunes.
I'm hoping that Psycho Circus is one that they will rotate. Not a bad tune but there are many others I would rather hear.

It got bumped out of the Paul flying spot, so I think it will now rotate. We'll see in Portland in two days.

That's an interesting thought - the rotation spots changing every tour date.

Same. Especially after all the silly people reporting in ticket info and posting screen grabs of what seats are available etc etc two dates down and so far it's looking good.

My guess is that they`d drop Christeen 16 within a few shows, add Cold Gin back in to replace it and that`s the setlist for the remainder of the tour...

Makes it all the better.

"On one trip I sat next to Gene. I looked admiringly at the cover of a fashion magazine from the on board rack. I sat staring intently at a young, slim hipped beauty with porcelain features. Nudging Gene, I remarked how attractive I found the girl on the cover. He quickly threw cold water on my opinion. “That’s not what you want,” he insisted. “She looks like a plastic flower. Too fragile. What you want is a real woman with a big ass that you can grab from the rear who’s got tits that’ll knock you in the face.” He said. “This is what you want,” he insisted, tossing a picture in my face of a slutty looking creature, mouth agape and eyes squinting, with thighs like piano legs and breasts sagging to her waist that would require a harness to support. I nodded and got the message. Gene was an evangelist for wanton lust."

I agree as well. Drop 16 all together. It is strange "16" sung by a man in his 60's- still a good song, but kind of weird. Add another Gene song in place. I hope they keep mixing it up throughout the tour. I still would like to see "Take Me" added here and there. I still love hearing "Lick It Up" live but willing to drop it in place of something different.

I think "16" will be dropped complete as the tour processes.

I like the set better than Monday night, great to see Deuce in there. It's still not what Gene promised, or maybe I'm wrong, maybe that set is shaking it up for him? Who knows.

I'm shocked really, considering what they mess around with at soundcheck, and I know that Eric and Tommy are always pushing for more rare songs. Would it kill them to put 2 rare gems in there a night?

No Hide your Heart works well and that hasn't been played to death for a long time. Anything from Monster or SB won't work since the set list is so short.

I like the setlist for the most part. I would rather hear "Cold Gin" rather than "Let Me Go" but hey, they both work I guess. I for one happen to dig "Christine Sixteen" even if Gene is eligible for Social Security. I don't see it as an old man singing it, I see it as the Demon singing it. I don't know, maybe that's weird to some but it works for me. I have more of a problem with the topic in "Makin' Love". That is a date rape song.

Yes, Christine 16 is about 53 now. She is no longer relevant. Unless of course Eddie Van Halen is going to make a guest appearance.

Agreed on the shorter version of LMGRNR. The version they started doing between 76-78 was perfect. The long version puts me to sleep now.

Denver sure got a lot of shoutouts Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center when Def Leppard and Kiss co-headlined a nearly sold-out show (or Leppard opened, depending on your point of view). And the crowd loved every minute of it.

“We’ve been coming to Denver longer than some of you have been alive in Denver,” yelled Paul Stanley early in Kiss’ 90-minute set. He exhorted Denver to sing along on a couple of songs, and, even though it might have been canned, or the result of a show that was pushing close to 11 p.m., told the ecstatic crowd after “Black Diamond,” “This is the part when we would go off the stage and you would yell until we come back. But we want to play for you.”

I was in row 17 in the center section and had a thoroughly great time for both bands. I brought a friend who has never seen either band and they were duly impressed.

My only minor-ish gripe is in the form of the pacing of the show. Let me start by saying, I liked all the songs that were played. I have seen KISS 5 times now starting with the reunion tour. I notice each time that there is one song (previously IWMFLY and this time HYH) where the show tends to come to come to a grinding halt. It's not that the songs are particularly wrong or bad, it just seems that they are intent on forcing everyone to sing along to it. At some point during HYH last night I found myself checking out and thinking.... Ok guys, let's get on with it... Next song please. It's like they were performing CPR and unable to resuscitate the song. Also it seemed like Black Diamond just fizzled out and stopped at a weird place. Previously it seemed as though the shows had a good pace. They would start strong then bring it down a bit and ramp back up to a strong finish. The performances last night were solid and the energy was good. It just might flow better if they didn't feel the need to completely stop every song, talk for a bit and then start another song.

This is just my 2 cents. All that being said, I had an amazing time and will keep coming back for more.

Watching LMGRNR on YouTube, appears like Gene either forgot the words or got lost. Really like the clips and pics that are shown on the screens during the song.

Disagree. "You're good lookin the best I've had" makes me think this isn't the first time they've had sex
