Long trek from DC. Great venue though.

What's the venues' schedule like the week before? I'm curious if they'll load in early for the first build of the stage, or come in that morning as usual. Then again, I'm thinking this isn't a new stage. The conversion between both bands is what needs to be fine tuned.....I think.

Maiden is like KISS - bigger everywhere outside the US.

Yuppers. Country rock has taken reign over "rock" here in the US.

I'll just be curious about the set list and duration. With Paul stating this is NOT a co-headline bill, my expectations is for a full show. Every bit of 90 minutes at least.

There were just not one, not two, but three Led Zeppelin albums in the top ten last week, and Jack White has the #1 album, love him or hate him. Rock is far from dead.

And on tour, rock usually always has the highest-grossing tour and many others close to the top (when enough big bands tour). The tour numbers of bands like Bon Jovi, AC/DC, McCartney, and The Stones alone are staggering.

Actually, rap has taken a huge beating on the charts lately. So have aging pop stars - J Lo sold 35,000 her first week, and Mariah Carey's album is also a flop. Both of them will be destroyed in sales by "Monster" of all albums.

There's also many, many rock bands doing well on tour even if they aren't playing arenas or making the top ten. There's a LOT of great rock bands out there - there's a lot more to things than the top-40 albums chart.

Truthfully, anyone who feels rock is dead in the states really needs to get out of the house and do a little exploring. There's a lot going on they have no clue about.

Rock is very far from dead in the states. And if anyone is really concerned, then they should do their part and buy more albums.

Good points. But they are all "Classic" or heritage bands. Who is going to carry the torch when the dinosaurs move on? Foo Fighters et al?

The Meet & Greet emails went out this week for Denver. My excitement level is starting to ratchet up! So, is KISS planning on doing soundchecks this tour?? I know for Atlanta in 2012, they did not - which I consider a feather in the hat of the crew and the band... because they still sounded well.
