taking my fiance who's never been to a real concert because the Spice Girls and Hanson in the late 90s don't count. Will be my 6th KISS show since 1999.

I'll be sitting section 5, row 2, middle of the isle seats 7 and 8 I think. Come by and say hi.

I'm getting more and more excited as the days get closer... been watching every show on youtube to bide my time. Can't wait to see her reaction when they're coming down from the ceiling.

Me and my wife will be bringing our 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son. We'll be coming up from Memphis. The last time I saw KISS was on the Sonic Boom Tour in Nashville and we brought the kids to that one too. But, really they were too small but I didn't know at the time if there would be an opportunity again to see the band. This time it'll be great for them at there ages. I think the four of us might wear make-up.

I just wish that tickets didn't cost so damn much. I've seen KISS over thirty times and I've been lucky several times to see them close-up from the first few rows. I wish my kids could experience that, but at 200.00 a pop? No way. We'll be in the risers pretty much straight back in back of Paul's Love Gun stage. We'll have a great view of the stage at least.

Looking forward to walking around Broadway with all the fans. Nashville has always been a big KISS town!!

Chris Army? $200 a pop? I got front row club level for $100, the 100 section were $150. Where you sitting/staying?

I'm hoping for a hookup through a couple of band-related channels but won't find out until Tues or Weds. Otherwise, this will be the first tour that I've missed since I started going on Crazy Nights... I can afford it, I just don't want to pay for the setlist and lead vocals this time...

I really don't understand why so many people complain about the setlist. It's in damn near every thread at some point. The older a band gets, the more they play the hits to attract a bigger audience... especially when it's a "co-headline" show where there's going to be more casual fans than normal.

I'll be hopping off the train downtown about 5:30 or so and walking to the arena. Would love to meet up and say hi to some folks. Should be wearing the same shirt I have on in my avatar.

No, I meant if I got within the first few rows I'd have to pay 200.00. I would love the kids to be close enough to feel the flames ya know.

We're in section 224 row B. Should be pretty cool when Paul flies out. Also, I think I'll check out the ticket office and see if there are any upgrades. I've never done that but I hear some people on the boards have. Not sure how it works but I figure I'd ask. I'm not paying much more money though.

Nickie's dad live in Nashville. We'll be staying with him.

Either way, hope to see you at the show. The Jeans' are planning on wearing make-up so we'll be easy to find.

I'll be there. Haven't seem them in TN since Sonic Boom in 09 in Nashville and it was amazing. Bringing two of my best friends who have never seen them. We're going to see Jay Z and Beyonce in Atlanta tomorrow night, and driving from ATL to Nash the next day for KISS. 8)

the last 3 KISS shows I've gone to I've taken someone that's never seen em.

2004 = girlfriend
2010 = little brother
2012 = hussy I was banging

I told em all the tricks and gimmicks beforehand, filled em in on the secrets. They sorta knew what was coming. I haven't said a word to my fiance other than there's no better live performance than KISS. It's gonna be fun.

haha... I took a half day off work, drove down to Nashville and checked into the downtown Sheraton, she met me there after work and we walked to the arena, got drinks, saw the show, hit up Broadway for an hour or so, and then walked back to the hotel. That was the part I was most looking forward to.

It was a good night 8)

Well, my 14yr KISS concert boycott ends tonight. I really wanted the Farewell show to be my last memory of them onstage, but my bassist bestowed me with a birthday ticket (how cool is that?) so we're heading up around 4pm. Not sure where our pre-show destination will be yet but if you see these dorks wandering around, say hello. Dat be me on the right.

Well, I did it. Def Leppard (not a huge fan) sounded clear as a bell, surely with the help of some backing vocal loops & so forth. KISS sounded muddy & the setlist wasn't quite as well paced as Leppard's but Paul seemed to sound better than he has been over the past few years. Not sure if it was just loud enough to mask the problems or not but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Bumped into & met Chrisarmy randomly as I was heading to grab beer pre-show. It was good to meet you, brutha! Hope your kids had a blast \m/ \m/. This is my one & only shot from the show. I'm lazy :mrgreen:

great show, though too short, of course, big loud crowd, Psycho Circus was a little sloppy, Paul broke a string and had to switch guitars during the breakdown, band seemed to get it together by Deuce, though Eric was dragging in a couple spots (most noticeably on Hide Your Heart where Paul had to do the old over-exaggerated slapping of his hip while stomping his boot to get Eric to pick up the tempo), was kinda weird seeing both bands play parts of Won't Get Fooled Again.

recording will be up at all the usual places in a couple of hours or less.

Silly, don't you remember last year when we were told by someone here that bringing kids to a KISS show was really a form of child abuse, because it's clear the kids don't want to be there, but the parents are dragging them there??

Someone POSTED that? Unreal. Speaking of insanity braised agendas, someone actually posted last week that KISS' show is now too BIG!! To paraphrase, the sentiment was somewhere along the lines of it being grotesque, now. A KISS show? Too BIG? The hyperbole the FAQ produces sometimes can only make you laugh. :lol:

You can't make this shit up :lol:
Someone POSTED that? Unreal. Speaking of insanity braised agendas, someone actually posted last week that KISS' show is now too BIG!! To paraphrase, the sentiment was somewhere along the lines of it being grotesque, now. A KISS show? Too BIG? The hyperbole the FAQ produces sometimes can only make you laugh. :lol:
Don't forget that yesterday we were told their show has too many explosions now, too!

How can this be? I read here Kiss has no younger fans. :) :wink:
Silly, don't you remember last year when we were told by someone here that bringing kids to a KISS show was really a form of child abuse, because it's clear the kids don't want to be there, but the parents are dragging them there??

You can't make this shit up :lol:
I know there are some fans who take their kids. I know most fans may be older--40s and 50s. But, the last 5 years has brought a new breed of younger fan. They are going to the shows and posting about it! :)

That's damn near where I was sitting. I was in Section 103, Row S, Seat 13. Damn near dead center, one row from the top.

asamphord wrote:great show, though too short, of course, big loud crowd, Psycho Circus was a little sloppy, Paul broke a string and had to switch guitars during the breakdown, band seemed to get it together by Deuce, though Eric was dragging in a couple spots (most noticeably on Hide Your Heart where Paul had to do the old over-exaggerated slapping of his hip while stomping his boot to get Eric to pick up the tempo), was kinda weird seeing both bands play parts of Won't Get Fooled Again.

recording will be up at all the usual places in a couple of hours or less.
It was good to meet you last night, brutha. That ass slappin' tempo thing cracked me up.
