They were your run of the mill English rock band. I stayed out in the concession area drinking the whole time and could hear them perfectly...they were fine.Paxon wrote:Hey guys, how was Leogun? Trying to decide if I wanna leave work early enough to get there for tgeir set.

Did it both nights in St. John's.nibbler1982 wrote:Does anyone have info about the bit with Paul and Tommy where he introduces him and refers to him as "M X" and then proceeded to cross his arms in a large "X" over his head. I've never seen nor heard anything about that before.

The show still looks impressive even without all the spider movement and extra effects. I guess the hall was not accommodating to the full show then.
tourbooks were $20
spider didn't move.
they were introduced and they were on the floor.
drum riser was up but had a hard time coming all the way down.
paul/tommy WHO bit was on the floor.
no guitar player risers for end of show or solos.
lights and screens were out for parts of the show.
paul got stuck out there, it seemed, during love gun/ black diamond a little too long, perhaps? he was pissed for that moment.
in general, Paul seemed to be in great spirits. banter was solid and fun. he was foolin' w/ gene a bit. voice was better than anticipated.
Tommy seemed out of synch a little but was solid.
Eric was good but not as good as i've seen in the past.
Gene was solid. he messed up lyrics to War Machine and God Of Thunder a little bit, coming in too late.
blood show was on stage, no flying.
in general, the show was pretty stripped down but really fun. good sound. would like Tommy's solos a little louder, to be honest. felt muddled.
loved the pyro. set list was solid. "say yeah" could be axed and nobody would mind, i think, except Paul.
i had a great fucking time.
might go see them in CT but i hope that the whole stage is working.
has anyone seen them there before?
is it a "real" stage show?
NH def. felt confined, stage wise, but that's not a negative, just if i'm going to see them again i'd rather see the whole stage set, you know?
I saw the "Alive/35" and "Sonic Boom/Hottest Show On Earth" tours at Mohegan Sun. Full production. The only difference was during the "Alive/35" tour they did not rise up from underneath the stage. They did in Boston.

They are great little band-- love'em. EP is superb. Kind of like Wolfmother with less blues and more rock.
