Got my seats. 6th row center! It'll be my first dose of The Monster. The kicker is I'm driving up from Long Island...five hours. As soon as the show is over I gotta turn right around and head back home. The next day I shoot back up to Mohegan for Sabbath. At 2 hours plus its gonna be cake compared to New Hamshire. Then Friday I fly to Syracuse for KISS at Turning Stone. That one is easy, the flight's an hour and the drive from the airport is like 30 min. The crab legs are KILLER at Turning Stone. Problem is when I get back on Saturday I gotta make the drive back to Mohegan for "The Hottest Band In The World!!!"

It's gonna be quite a jaunt.

I will give a full report. It's funny I had an extra ticket because my girlfriend couldn't go. Offered to take anyone for free and no one wanted to go. Now I won passes and still no one wanted to go so I'm bringing my older sister as a thank you for making me a fan in 1976. It should be a special moment for her.

GREAT SHOW! Real low key....

They did not use almost any of the new stage effects. Actually the only stage effect they used was Pauls flying rig, everything else was scraped. No entrance, risers, or spider moving whatsoever.

Paul threw a load of picks at both me and my girl. We got a total of 6 Paul picks! I got one of each Paul variation....2 purple logo, 2 white logo and 2 gold logo!

Paul seemed to be having a lot of fun. Tommy didn't seem to be himself.

The meet and greet I won was very quick in and out for a group photo. They didn't sign anything and you were not allowed to take any photos yourself.
The show was good. Paul's voice seemed better tonight than recently. They had technical difficulties for half of the show with the video screens. There was no picture.
Because it was a small stage the spider was downsized and didn't move. Paul flew. Gene didn't and the drums didn't seem to move except for the intro. Had a bunch of pyro. Pretty good show.

My friend and I drove up from Boston and back again after the show. I'm glad I prepaid for premium parking because we got out of there in a flash. The show was totally worth the trip. It did seem like they lost some sort of power or something because the screens died and then came back after a few songs but not in HD. The spider was static because the the space was limited, I assume. They were really having fun it seemed. Paul and gene teased each other a bit during the show. Tommy was good but appeared preoccupied a bit.

A few questions ...

How much is the tourbook?

What time did Leogun go on and when did they finish?

When did KISS go on?

Thanks.

tourbooks were $20

spider didn't move.

they were introduced and they were on the floor.
drum riser was up but had a hard time coming all the way down.

paul/tommy WHO bit was on the floor.
no guitar player risers for end of show or solos.

lights and screens were out for parts of the show.

paul got stuck out there, it seemed, during love gun/ black diamond a little too long, perhaps? he was pissed for that moment.

in general, Paul seemed to be in great spirits. banter was solid and fun. he was foolin' w/ gene a bit. voice was better than anticipated.
Tommy seemed out of synch a little but was solid.
Eric was good but not as good as i've seen in the past.
Gene was solid. he messed up lyrics to War Machine and God Of Thunder a little bit, coming in too late.
blood show was on stage, no flying.

in general, the show was pretty stripped down but really fun. good sound. would like Tommy's solos a little louder, to be honest. felt muddled.
loved the pyro. set list was solid. "say yeah" could be axed and nobody would mind, i think, except Paul.

i had a great fucking time.
might go see them in CT but i hope that the whole stage is working.
has anyone seen them there before?
is it a "real" stage show?
NH def. felt confined, stage wise, but that's not a negative, just if i'm going to see them again i'd rather see the whole stage set, you know?

This was the first time at Meadowbrook. The whole place was expanded recently and the stage was made a little bigger but still small enough where theyhave to reduce the stage set up. This was the smallest stage i have ever seen them on.

Does anyone have info about the bit with Paul and Tommy where he introduces him and refers to him as "M X" and then proceeded to cross his arms in a large "X" over his head. I've never seen nor heard anything about that before.
