I'll be there-if you see a long haired guy with a severe limp wearing a green coat with a Lick It Up patch on the back and all 4 solo faces on the front, say hi!

Being reported on FB that it's SOLD OUT. That's another one,(4 of the first 5 will be), yet some will just talk about the one that didn't sell well(because of 2 of the other SOLD OUT shows being so close by) and a casino show that is selling slow , but will be SOLD OUT by show day. The agenda of some. It shows.

Max capacity for concerts is 8,000. Max for hockey games is 6-7k.Slick2007 wrote:so how many tickets sold are we're talking about.......4-5.000, and the rest of the arena closed???LOLkissthat wrote:Being reported on FB that it's SOLD OUT. Sales should be pretty strong in most of the smaller markets. But thats what you want to play if you want to Canada and have it be more than
Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, - as well as Edmonton Calgary and maybe Winnipeg who have full size areas. Kudos to Kiss as they milk every drop of the great white North and I'm glad they are doing it as for once, I won't have to get on a plane to see a Kiss show. The first St. John's show is sold out. I think the second one will be close.
Calgary was sold out before it cancelled, Edmonton looks strong, if I recall. Toronto and Montreal look ok. I think Ottawa is a traditionally weak market for them. Tour looks like it will do ok. I think summer tours get more walk ups as well. Must be weather related.

I'm surprised they're not returning to Oshawa, drew well last time there but I don't know if they'd want to go back after that little umm...'embarrassment' of 2009.

Just had a look at a few dates, sales seem to have really picked up in most venues. Looks like it will generally be pretty well atteneded. Row 2 available in Regina, they must have released the M&G seats. I do predict there'll be a bunch of those cancelled - I don't think smaller centres have enough people willing to shell out the grand for it.

Facts mean little in KISSFAQ.
Trust me, some here will cling on to Vancouver with all their might. It will achieve mythological status. People will be saying that all the shows had their upper sections curtained off. I also look forward to the point where someone says that all of the shows had slashed ticket prices, and that everyone thought that it was the original band, because Canadians didn't know any better.
In the meantime, I'm happy that they seem to be doing well so far. Yeah, there will certainly be a hiccup or two. Vancouver was one of them, and I'm sure that there will be others. Admittedly, I like watching the boys succeed. I don't see anything wrong with that.
In the meantime, August 3 and August 4 may be the last time that I see the band, which are the last 2 shows of the Canadian tour.

Ideally, for the first time ever, I'll be able to have a pint before the show at my favourite local downtown pub, eat at one of my favourite local restaurants, see the show, hang out with friends afterwards (some of whom may not have seen the show), go home, sleep in my own bed, and wake up the next morning and give my 3 yr. old boy a hug.Evo999 wrote:I won't have to get on a plane to see a Kiss show. Re:
Why not ? It's been said about every tour after the fact, they slashed prices in Atlanta in 09 and in Boston in 2010, then the myth took over and both tours were completely slashed and papered. One parking lot on SBOE tour and you 'd have thought the whole tour was that way, never mind the parking lot had 9,500 in it, And let's not forget the best one, about half of all the attendees on the HSOE tour were the the special lawn deals. It never ends 4,3,2,1,Shane_Penney wrote:Facts mean little in KISSFAQ.

Why do people lose sleep over ticket sales ? If it's not sold out that just means better seats for You and Me

Actually there was talk about returning to my hometown (I'm in the know with the General Manager of the General Motors Centre) which he told me prior to the Australia Tour. He said that there were deciding to play Oshawa or Toronto, as you know know they went with Toronto. He also said they might play Oshawa in 2014 in the Springtime when they do an indoor Tour my guess for the 40th Anniversary Tour... We shall see!Anomaly wrote:I'm surprised they're not returning to Oshawa, drew well last time there but I don't know if they'd want to go back after that little umm...'embarrassment' of 2009.

No offense to you or your city, but there's no way KISS took even ten seconds to decide whether to play at Molson or at the GM Centre.BlairC42 wrote:Actually there was talk about returning to my hometown (I'm in the know with the General Manager of the General Motors Centre) which he wold me prior to the Australia Tour. True.... no offence taken - KISS still hold the record for the fastest sellout in the GM Centre history even when we had Elton John played here.Anomaly wrote:No offense to you or your city, but there's no way KISS took even ten seconds to decide whether to play at Molson or at the GM Centre.BlairC42 wrote:Actually there was talk about returning to my hometown (I'm in the know with the General Manager of the General Motors Centre) which he wold me prior to the Australia Tour. Still holding out on that setlist change. Has every setlist been the exact same for the past month?
They've decided for me whether or not it's worth going up to Mohegan next month. And to me, it's depressing listening to all the songs in drop D tuning. I never thought I'd say this but KISS in 2012 and 2013 live is not listenable to me anymore

Me too, first time seeing KISS without airfare, or in the case of Grand Falls, a drive and not ideal accommodations. I bought a M&G for the first show, if it's cancelled I'll be bummed big time. I'm attending that show alone and the second show my wife and I have 5'th row seats and a room at the Delta, so will be enjoying both shows big time. I wonder how many M&G were sold for St. John's, I have a feeling not many, just a gut feeling, no info.Shane_Penney wrote:Ideally, for the first time ever, I'll be able to have a pint before the show at my favourite local downtown pub, eat at one of my favourite local restaurants, see the show, hang out with friends afterwards (some of whom may not have seen the show), go home, sleep in my own bed, and wake up the next morning and give my 3 yr. old boy a hug.Evo999 wrote:I won't have to get on a plane to see a Kiss show. Nice report on the show, don't where these youngins came from, must have staged it, as we have at least one knuckle dragger troll here that says he hasn't seen one at a KISS show in 10 years.
