Re: EuroMonster #11, 20/06 - Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerl
Unfortunately, the sales are not the best they've had in Zürich. I hope for 9-10'000 in this 12'800 seaters arena. 2008 & 2010 more than 12'000 each time attended the shows. Until now the attendance numbers are pretty good on this Euro-Tour : 26'500, 12'500, 33'000, 22'500, 8'500, 17'000... Prag will probably be close to a sell out, Milan too...

Ciao amico. According to the customer service of AXS TV "the concert event is only broadcast on cable television in the US"... So don't hold your breath when KISS hits the stage tonight at 9 o'clock "our time".kissin time wrote:what time in Europe?miouzic wrote:The Zürich show will be broadcast live on AXS TV . http://www.axstv.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Standing room/floor seems to be sold out. Seats still available... AXS TV in Zurich since yesterday. A buddy won a M&G on the radio.

Looking good so far. 60" HD through the surround sound is a nice way to enjoy it.

Just snuck in to our conference room at work and put it on AXS TV for a few minutes. Looks great and sounds pretty good in my opinion.

Re: EuroMonster #11, 20/06 - Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerl
I know it is old news but when you're there with all the lights, bombs, pyro and especially the live mix (!!!) Paul's voice problems are not THAT relevant. I was at the show in Zurich and I travelled to Berlin and the live experience still works. And to be clear, I do hate Paul's voice in the youtube clips (and I miss Ace, but that's another story). If someone is not sure if he/she should go because of Pauls voice: Even if one doesn't like Pauls voice in this broadcast (of which I haven't seen a second of course) or the youtube clips for me it is still worth checking out. Can you hear that he is struggling? Of course yo do, otherwise you are deaf. Does it ruin the live show? Not really!
I am pretty sure that I won't enjoy this recording as much as the live experience but aside from Paul's voice:
Was the camera work cool? They had at least two additional cameras for the TV show.
It is somehow nice to know that there will be a pro shot of a show I attended. It is almost 17 years since I saw my first Reunion show at the very same place.
The end is near...

Beautiful colors, lights but the camera angles at the right moments were timed terribly in many spots and left me somewhat pissed off.

Watching now on DVR, and I was thinking the same thing. The screams, the needless "singing" (like in Hell Or Hallelujah)...it has to stop. Ugh. I try my best to remember how old he is, the vocal issues being known, etc., but damn...he has been my favorite in KISS more often than not, and it's sometimes painful to listen to him now. I can't go so far as to say he sounds "good" anymore, but I do agree that he can sound decent if he stays within a certain range.KIDGEO3 wrote:Watching the show now on my DVR.....for the life of me I DO NOT understand why Paul continues to scream the way he does????? Still, I'm enjoying the show. From the looks of things, several thousand others were, too.
