How many concert attendees does the stadium hold ? All I can find is 16,800 for "football".rikstom wrote:Im in Stavanger now, KISS shirts galore!kissthat wrote:Show is being reported as SOLD OUT.

That's probably close enough for a concert configuration. I've seen some figures for other concert attendances at the venue ~16,000.kissthat wrote:How many concert attendees does the stadium hold ? Love Gun and RARAN end the main show. Interesting to see if Paul plays some of Shandi as an encore. Belive he did that last time in Norway.

Yea. They should play album cuts that only we diehards know. Give me a break. EVERY vintage band plays their most well known songs. EVERY big band does this. Stop this nonsense already.

Did they play play Psycho Circus, Heavens on Fire, War Machine, Hell or Hallelujah, Outta This World or God of Thunder the last time they were in Norway? Seems to me that more than a third of the setlist is different than their last Norweigan show, and is therefore not so stale for the sold out crowd who seemingly had the time of their lives.Slick2007 wrote:EXCEPT FOR A LOUSY STALE SETLIST............Dwight Fry Speaking wrote:I was following the show on live updates. Paul Stanley went started with "Psycho Circus", and followed up with "Shout It Out Loud".
And full pyro show from the first song.
Stanley, Gine Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer got good response from a close packed Viking Stadium.
During the performance of "Hell or Hallelujah" was again the flames from the powerful pyro machinery running, and Stanley went into high pitch.
During the next song, "War Machine" was also red light in the giant spider hanging over quad band. And half the stadium gave tactful response with raised hands.
And Gene "The Demon" spitting flames!
How are we doing so far? Are everybody having a good time, ask Paul. No doubt about it over the lawn.
And Stavanger? The rock and roll capital of Norway, declared Stanley, to wild cheers.
Stanley and Kiss drifted too risky, and performed "Heaven's On Fire", not the easiest song to sing with sore vocal chords.
And Kiss continued with his audience courtship: You do not want to be more quiet than Stockholm, do you?!?
It was show to thousands of Viking Stadium. Under Thayer and Singer's Guitar and Drum solo shot Thayer flames from his guitar, and Singer was raised five feet up in the air and fired a bazooka-like case.
Gene spitting blood and was hoisted 10-12 feet in the air, on top of the giant spider.
The audience was about to take off properly in "Lick It Up", after Stanley had called for, and got, singing.
And Stanley was - Recipe purposes - sent flying in the wire from the stage to a plateau in the middle of the stadium, or midfield, if you will.
During the "Rock n Roll All Night" was half the stadium suffered a confetti sprinkle of dimensions. And both Simmons and Thayer were raised substantial feet up in the air and maybe ten feet from the edge of the stage on the big platforms, with no safety net. Not an everyday occurrence for 63 year olds or 61 year olds, for that matter.
The first encore started with "Detroit Rock City", and it had then become dark enough for the light show and the spider came into its own.
During the next encore "I Was Made For Loving You" jumped maybe two thirds of the well over 20,000 ecstatic audience up and down. It really took off, simply.
The atmosphere was not directly bad when the fireworks reached the greatest heights during the last song, "Black Diamond", either.

Norway loves them some KISS. 'Monster'charted fantastically all over Europe, but I specifically remember it was in Norway's Top 10 for quite a long time, as was 'Sonic Boom'. I was surprised at how big fans Norway is.jannep17 wrote:Seems the Norwegian audience is the most lively so far on the tour. Good for you, Stavanger!
