To me they're really not. Heaven's On Fire has been played many many many many times before, Say Yeah is a very bad song, Won't Get Fooled Again is a bad cover... what's there to be happy about?vincentcusano wrote:Idollisimo wrote:The "new" set-list is terrible and boring so far... Um, they played Heavens on Fire, Say Yeah, and Wont Get Fooled Again.....to me all three of those are SHOCKERS

I love the setlist. Six songs I've never seen them play live. That's 1/3 of the set. So happy Say Yeah made it into the setlist! Psycho Circus is an excellent opener.

Well hmmm, new stage/different song order/ NO 100,000 Years........cant really say im "excited" but per usual at least there is a few different things. My point is Im past the point of hoping to hear rare gems and my favorite tunes, at this stage as predictable as they have become im just glad to see something "different" even if I dont "like" the differences

they played the best songs they can play
KISS is far from over yet
they played a hell of a lot of songs(19, not like 70 year old Sir Paul McCartney who plays a whopping 38 and keeps adding rare gems to the set year in year out)
glad to see they played a lot of tunes from MONSTER

Hearing Paul sing in a lower register takes some getting used to. It sounds to me like he is struggling, but overall it's not too bad (based on the PC clip I listened to). It will be interesting to see how his voice holds up over the course of the tour.

new set list, check...cool stage, check...Paul sounds better, check...naysayers still bitching, check. There are a certain group of people who won't be happy no matter what Kiss does and will never admit they like it even if they do....just the way it is. The rest of us will have fun and enjoy the last few yrs we have left of Kiss, knowing that it will never be 1977 again.

Good show, great stage, Paul sounds as well as he's gonna sound from here on out, fans enjoyed the show. My petty gripe would be, it's just a few songs short and Wall Of Sound is missing from the set.

The spider light rigging is a nice adjustment. Not mind blowing or anything but any change is good.
Setlist is average.
If it's in the U.S. I'll buy a lawn ticket. Not splurging on it though.

Stage is phenomenal. Kickass new record and stage, can't get any better for them. Let's hope they didn't build this thing for just 12 shows.

The stage is a little underwhelming going by the hype Gene made about it, BUT I bet it looks stunning when you are actually watching it live.
has it been confirmed whether Won`t Get Fooled Again was the full version (played a'la Asylum tour) or whether it was the mini version included in Lick It Up?
The rest of the setlist is somewhat underwhelming though.

No, the spider didn't really do much. Came down on the stage during War Machine and (somewhat) in Lick It Up.Trance wrote:Did the "spider" take them 30 feet into the audience or whatever?
Is the "spider" just a lighting rig?
Otherwise... nothing.
