I just don't think this thread needs to be hijacked with the typical crap that goes on all the time.

Start another 'negative' thread and let those that are excited about this tour enjoy this one.

Perhaps if they'd bothered to go to the show they'd actually, god forbid enjoy it for what it is - a rock n roll show. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks for the updates.
For me, the lack of variation is the main reason why I don`t bother seeing them again in concert. If that`s not being a "fan", I`m totally fine with that!

Amen to that! And I dont buy the cheap excuse of "the mainstream fans dont know the abscure songs" CMON!!! If they know Calling dr. Love or Lick it up, they also know Flaming Youth and Creatures of the Night!!

Im not a hater, just a dissapointed fan. Thanks for the updates bytheway. :)

For freakin' 15 years we get the SAME stageshow, the SAME setlist, the SAME effects and the SAME stage raps!!

I know I dont have to go to their shows, and I actually don't. I'm a huge KISS fan from everything they done up to 1998. But everything after the same and the same. Star Wars is an amazing and exciting movie. But after watching this 50 times it becomes ... boring.
Yep
It's like groundhog day. People act surprised every time. A 40YO band is NOT going to reinvent itself. The denial is really tedious, as much as the same old complaints (regardless of their validity). For all of you unhappy with today's set list, ask for a refund.
Well I'm actually looking for a reason to buy a ticket, there are good tickets available too. Looks like unsold quotas are back on sale to the general public, I just cant bring myself to part with $180 for essentially the same old thing, its not a criticism, its an oberservation

I understand that side as well , I would like to be a Little surprised. For once. People are pumped for 3 Monster song, it's the Monster tour, you should expect as much. No favors there

I also don't understand why the entire band can't play "Shandi" for the Aussie fans. After all, Australia was one of the few places (the only?) that embraced "Unmasked" and made the album and that song big hits. Just strikes me as the usual Kiss laziness (on G&P's part).

Everyone needs to make that call for themselves. Is it still a KISS show? Are there things you might enjoy? Can you afford or justify the ticket cost? It's all relative...

And observations and criticisms are just fine. Folk just need to keep reality in mind.

Sounds like you're in Australia. So when was the last time you saw them here? 5 years ago? So you'd be that bored if they played exactly the same set as back then (which they aren't)?

Agreed.

Let's not forget, KISS are the clear headliners on this tour. This is the MONSTER tour. 17 songs instead of the 13 in the US. KISS get more stage time. This is not a co-headlining tour.

Here is the setlist from the last time they played Perth:
1.Creatures of the Night
2.Calling Dr. Love
3.I Pledge Allegiance to the State of Rock & Roll
4.I Love It Loud
5.Christine Sixteen
6.Tears Are Falling
7.War Machine
8.Lick It Up
9.I Want You
10.Deuce
11.100,000 Years
12.Unholy
13.Detroit Rock City
14.Shout It Out Loud
15.Love Gun
16.I Was Made for Lovin' You
Encore:
17.God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You II
18.Rock and Roll All Nite

Assuming they perform a "standard" encore, that will be 8 songs different from the last time they played Perth. For those like me, the show they did tonight seems "tired", because I watch the setlists on a regualr basis. That's my fault.

For those who live in Perth nearly 50% of the songs performed tonight were different then the last time they were there. I'd have no problem with that from any band.

Can someone please re-post all the instagram pix (and others) - as regular attachments?

I can't see them from my work computer - firewall keeps blocking them.

It would be greatly appreciated - the new stage sounds pretty cool!

Just got home. Show was great! Paul sounded good compared to how he's been.

I understand the whole stale setlist thing but you should've heard the groans when they said they're gonna play a new one. The majority don't care about rarities.

Crüe probably had more spectacle to their show(and walking through the audience was cool) but kiss buried them as far as playing goes. Crüe were terrible.

Anyways they impressed my mate who hates kiss and was there for crüe. Not bad for guys their age.

Was that Tommy/Eric solo thing a big 'fuck you we're in KISS' to the haters?

I loved it, they raised up and pointed to each other then just stood there, 'yeah we're not the originals, fuck you who cares'

What's new is that you thought Bon Jovi and David Lee Roth started the flying stunt and that Gene copied them. Fail you did and you're just trying to hide it. Sad that you can't just say that YOU made a mistake and didn't know that Gene started flying in 1979.
