I'm not saying anything bad about the shows on this tour, but these acoustic sets are much more interesting to me.

Acoustic sets totally rock!!

I'm wondering.. KISS enjoys playing those older songs, but only on the special occasions. like the KISS KRUISE, M&G.. it sounds like the 'expensive occasions' where fans are paying a lot for it.
maybe one day they decide to put some older songs in the normal setlist..

Found the clips from this meet and greet a few weeks ago. These look like a lot of fun. It's great seeing the guys give each other a hard time. The half time BBB is great too.

Embedding is disabled on that video but I just watched all 5 parts and it's easily the most enjoyable 33-or-so minutes I've seen of anything KISS in years. Everyone here should check that out if they haven't already.

That's odd because the embedding works fine on my end. Either way, it does look loose and fun, a lot like the Konventions actually. Eric and Paul ripping on Gene's last solo album is great.

From what I can gather on YouTube, for Phoenix:

Got To Choose
She
Do You Love Me?
Hard Luck Woman
I Still Love You (partial)
Hotter Than Hell
Christine Sixteen

If someone who attended in Phoenix can confirm the list and order, that'd be great.

San Diego had these (but I could be forgetting one or two):
Calling Dr. Love
Hard Luck Woman
World Without Heros
I Stole Your Love
Sure Know Something

Paul always sings Hard Luck Woman when they do it acoustically. Except the one time when Peter sang it in LA.

It's KISS covering someone's song, but I cannot find out who wrote it.

It's a made up blues jam. Someone shouted out for a jam, and they made this up...

It's actually quite disappointing. Do they think the other thousands of people in the venues are all casuals?

I had not planned to do so. But if they continue to do these private shows I will have to do another M&G next year.

Real-time update:

"Life In The Woods"

Requested and played at tonight's acoustic set. According to reports, Gene commented, "This hasn't been played in 30 years."

What kind of guitar is that Paul has?

Why can Gene NEVER sing the correct first line in "Christine Sixteen"?

In Phoenix, they also screwed around with "Too Many Mondays" from the old Wicked Lester Days. It was cool, but don't get the idea that they got through the song. They were just having fun and the fans ate it up (those who knew what they were hearing).

I doubt it was played in '82 haha.. and my friend taped all the songs to some extent- hopefully he posts some of them...including LITW...

I must say I think the acoustic set followed by the meet/ greet was possibly the highlight of our night at least in certain perspectives...

Everyone was singing along loudly in the tiny little space- really couldn't have been better- just longer maybe as it was that much fun..

In Concord that happened and they sang the classic song Only You (just a snippet) vocals only joking around- not the Elder version.

Tommy sat out Life in the Woods if I recall correctly- Eric played along though... and for the most part it was like the Konventions- snippets and or parts here and there- great stuff though...

IIRC Paul was wearing reading glasses on the "KISS My Ass" home video.
The part where they were discussing "KISStory".
