Are they using a turnstile stage like they did with Aerosmith? It makes set changes qucker. If they're not, I am totally shocked they didn't go for it.

I really question why they are cutting songs from their setlist. One would think they would have this curfew thing in order by now. I am wondering if Paul is struggling.

I have a gut feeling that curfew line is going to be standard throughout the tour. They have rehearsed this tour down to the minute. It should have been addressed before the tour started.

The other night, among the cut songs were Beth and Deuce, which Paul does not sing on.

Has nothing to do with his voice.

No - there is no turntable stage being used. Could be because of the amphiteaters (AeroKISS was in arenas), could be because of the stage setups being used by both bands...who knows?

MANY of the World Domination shows were in amphitheaters. I don't think it has any bearing anyway.

I have a hard time believing that KISS, who are probably the most professional band ever, would have curfew issues two nIghts in a row. It would be sad if they were just flat lying about doing a 90 minute set.

I don't think it's an issue of lying. Seems like an issue of having co-headliners each with elaborate stage shows trying to squeeze every minute in between 8 p.m. and curfew, and the change-over can't be done fast enough to make up for losing time. Seems like they ought to start Motley 15 minutes early to alleviate some of this, but I'm sure that would churn up all sorts of issues in one way or another, perhaps contractually.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't yet know if anything was cut last night. The first pic came through around 9:45 and the last couple between 11:15 & 11:30...so it's quite possible they did the full show but Paul still used the curfew line to make it sound more rock and roll.

If anyone's set should be cut, it's Mötley. Hoping tonight we get the full KISS!

Now we know why they lost 15 minutes of set time, that break between "The hottest band in the world" and "KISS" could have gave me enough time to go grab a pricey beer, take a piss and get back in my seat in time.

The reports of curfews being broken is a bit ridiculous.

Kiss is playing less than an hour. Period. It was planned ahead of time and all the excuses were in place. They really seem to not understand that "information" is available from all angles on this. It's only two shows in and already people are bitching up a storm.

The "Powers That Be" know the curfews. And, if they are being broken, shame on them for allowing it to happen. Open the gates an hour to an hour and a half earlier then. It's all a ruse and one more way for both bands to remain in the black. It's all about money folks. Please. I cry, "Bullshit," on curfews being broken.

It's pathetic that two bands can't play two full shows. It's even worse, that when combined, both shows total one show - time wise - for a lot of touring acts.

You have to be joking.

All the while Bruce Springsteen inches closer and closer to pulling off four hour shows on his current tour. Starts early, plays and plays and plays, and gives his fans what they truly deserve and want.

What he said.

The curfew thing is bullshit.

If Paul can't sing very many songs then let Singer and Thayer do their songs from SB and Monster, Gene can't sing everything at 70 years old he'll blow his voice out too.

Maybe it cost too much to run that giant tv behind them for more than an hour?

You can do turnstiles stages in outdoor shows. KISS & Aerosmith did it in sheds/amphitheaters in 2003...the tour didn't hit arenas 'till late October. This would allow more time for Kiss onstage, IMO.

It should cost them money. I'm sure their contract stipulates how long they should play for their fee.

Ten songs (and we still have to listen to Shock me)? A lower key in songs that doesn't need it (Gene's/Paul songs that are not that difficult)?

I really wouldn't mind not having the stage at all (if the stage change is the reason behind this) and listen to them play 3-4 extra songs, but I know that's not how everyone feels, and more people in those shows would bitch about the lack of a huge screen over the lack of a couple of songs.

PS: I know the final setlist hasn't been confirmed yet!

In order for Kiss to do a 90 minute set, Motley would have to go on at 7:30, which isn't going to happen b'cuzz you have an opener at 7. So, the Kiss set is getting cut and if that set-list is real, this is utter bullshit on the Kiss team part. This should have been planned out with more precision. Unless, this is the way it was planned out. Tonight's show in Raleigh will tell the tale.

Which confirms what I thought from the start: this tour is definitely useless! With a new album in the can, they should have released it a few months before and start their own Monster Tour! Not a 20-minute set with a rehash stage set and Mötley Shit doing a longer concert!

I'm going to wait until October to get interest in the band again...

These are exactly the reasons I passed on seeing The Tour until I see them on the Kruise and the Monster Tour.

Having to be cut short for time constraints yet paying double priced tickets...no thanks!
