Crue sounded good on the new tune. Nice eye candy too.

I'm only going to see this tour 1 time. And only because I can't imagine missing a tour. This tour is a wash and a money grabber so I can't wait for it to be over. Bring on the Monster tour & album!!!

Ill be the first to admit if it was coming to my town id prolly be going, but since Im from Iowa and the closest show to Des Moines is 4 hours im gonna pass because the set is so short. I like Motley but I wouldnt travel 4 hours to see them, ive seen them plenty already.

Paul sounded good on "HOH" but he seems tired or sick.

The song is ok but chorus ruins it, IMO.

I really like this new tuning.

I wonder what is going on there on tour, now they played only ten songs or hopefully I am wrong? How embarassing. Is it Mötley who screws the schedule there or something else, ten songs with bass solo is maybe only one hour set, I am sure something is wrong there but where, that is a question? I wonder how long Mr. Stanley tolerates this kind of situation..

Now had Motley Crue used those Girl Back-Up Singers in their new "SEX" tune to fill in the missing word,
it would have sounded so much Better & Cooler! What were they thinking?!

He He, maybe that they would add in crowd noise/vocals for a (Fake) Live Cut of the tune! ;)

“They told us that they were gonna shut the power down,” Stanley told the crowd. But he said they were going to play on. A shortened solo on “Black Diamond,” and a one song encore, “Rock and Roll All Night” finished out an eighty minute, thirteen song set—exactly the same as Motley Crue. Was precious time lost during set up and the intermission transition? It’s impossible to tell on the first night.

I agree 100%!!

Don't think so, I think both bads agreed the short shows since the beginning, MC already has been doing shorter shows for a while, Mick's healt the main reason, and looking the kiss set is about Paul's voice.

Let's see if they keep "their reason" of "the curfew" or add some songs.

That is a kick ASS entrance, right there. Even if the means of taking the stage was used 10 years ago, its still pretty impressive with that much smoke and explosions amidst those lighting effects.

Say what you want, but from the clips I've seen, the KISS show eclipses the MC show.

Doc has said before they'll delay the start of the show if merch sales are doing really well. It may not have to do with set changes.

Mick's health has absolutely nothing to do with Motley's short set.

(MC are waiting to go on. Doc walkie talkie's back to the merchandise booth to see if they can start the show yet)

How we doin on numbers? The shirts movin?"

(Merchandise vendor manager)

We just moved 30 shirts to these chumps, and a big titted blonde seems almost drunk enough to buy 30 more! HOLD off on the start of the show! Here she comes back now, stumbling up to the booth. I gotta get off here...........

It was either a documentary or an interview where he admitted to delaying shows if the merch sales are high.

That's total bullshit. They wouldn't cut power. The band would just be fined and the union workers might get overtime pay. They wouldn't cut power that's ridiculous.

Outdoor venues do have to abide by local noise ordinances.

This piss poor planning.

The problem being, I'm sure the Crue's contract calls for them to go on at 8. A 90 minute show leaves no time for tear down and set up.The Crue should have been scheduled to start at 7:30 from the start. Changes need to be made.

Now that they've cut power on Bruce Springsteen, every arena , shed operator across the world will now be ready to flip the switch.

maybe some cities have different rules than others, but i doubt every city has some guy with his finger on a switch, waiting for his cue:

i remember reading that phish once played a show that went over curfew, found out they were gonna be billed for an extra hour as a result, so they said "fuck it" & played the entire hour, since they were already on the hook for it  in that instance, no one pulled the plug....

Oh yes they would my friend. They are fined and all for so much time past curfew and then step 2 is they will cut the power. If has happened to other performers in the past. In fact, power was cut at a show over in Europe just last week.

If that's true, how come Axl Rose can play until 1 or 2 in the morning and he's NEVER had the plug pulled? But KISS can't play for a song or two after their scheduled time? Seems fishy.

Bruce can still sing and play a 3 hour show and change his setlist up every night. When was the last time kiss played 2-5 different songs every night??
