Come on man, if you drove four hours round trip just to get 12 songs and shortened sets from both bands surely you would be disappointed in that?

Wait who am I kidding, of course you wouldn't...Paul could trip, fall, and break his leg during DRC and then cancel and you'd be there with the devil horns going "RAWK N ROLL!!!!"

nah, they'd play as a trio and I'd get a special unique show!

I drove five hours to see the original 4 in Columbus, GA and Peter wasn't able to play. Some people were pissed. I thought it was an amazing unique experience that would be shared by only a few and felt blessed and honored to have been able to experience it.
Say they then ended the concert though with my proposed scenario.
but... they wouldn't do that... i can't even consider it hypothetically... Paul was sick, they played as a 3 piece without him... the show must go on... Peter was sick, couldn't play, they got someone else to fill in, the show must go on... they don't want to disappoint the fans, and they ESPECIALLY don't want to refund the ticket money.
If an accident occurred during a concert and they cancelled right then and there early on, would you be disappointed? No refunds.
well since this is hypothetical since this would never happen, i can hypothetically say that no, I would not be disappointed, I would try to be as aware as possible of everything that was going on because certainly many people would want to hear as much as possible from an eyewitness to the event, because it would certainly be a unique event in KISStory.
How much did you pay for Atlanta tomorrow?
I'll have to check my ticket when I get home, I think it was about $58? something like that, whatever the cheapest section of reserved seating was, I didn't want to be out on the lawn, because the sound is way better if you're under the roof at Lakewood, but I didn't really want to pay a whole lot for good seats since it was going to be a shorter than normal set from KISS, plus I paid a grand for front row and meet & greet last time they came around, so I figured I'd take the cheap route this time!

all I read was "12 songs this is so lame", so I was showing how, with a different perspective, 12 songs is perfectly acceptable.

Hey guys, sorry for the some what cryptic tweets. I will try to clear up some questions I saw. So here goes...

1) as Motley started playing, it started to POUR! almost right on cue. There was a rainbow (I know it sound "fruity", but looked cool!).

2) They didnt stop the show or anything to fix the amp, the guy just came running back and forth at least 3 times to try to hear if it was working properly.

3) Paul's voice was a little shakey at times. Nothing to bad...from my point of view anyway.

I wasnt really sure if my tweets were really working, my reception on my phone was shitty.

My 3 boys, son's girlfriend (who had never been to a "rock" concert), My Wife and I had a BLAST! It was a great show and I am exhausted after this KISS Weekend! I will try to get the pictures up ASAP!

Glad I could provide the updates!

The shorter set is fine with me. Since the Aero tour, they tend to lose the crowd during 100,000 Years & Eric & Tommy's solos. The Areo tour was done well. Shorter set, no lull in the set. They conquered nightly. My only issue is Shock Me being played on a shorter set. Deuce has been a staple since the HITS tour. Dropping that sucks.

I'm going to 2 shows, one is a 3 hour drive, the other is 6 and since I'm seeing my 2 favorite bands, I could care less if its 80 min sets. IMO

why thank you Gary! My aim is for my posts to inspire thought and laughter. I'm also a smartass and I suffer from literalism. Sometimes I am indeed full of shit, and will post something just to see what the response will be. But really I love everyone and try to share my positive outlook and happiness with everyone, especially in places such as this where the negativity can become quite thick on occasion. :D

A MASTER who lived as a hermit on a mountain was asked by a monk,
"What is the Way?"

"What a fine mountain this is," the master said in reply.

"I am not asking you about the mountain, but about the Way."

"So long as you cannot go beyond the mountain, my son, you cannot
reach the Way," replied the master.

So it is with KISS in 2012.

As oppossed to what Paul's doing now. I'm sorry, and you know I'm not the guy that complains all the time, but the curfew thing works the first time. After that, it should have been rectified. Now it's just an excuse that does nothing to fix the "problem".

Play the 12 songs, if anyone asks tell them both bands are playing the same amount of songs and actual time onstage may be different as songs are different lengths. But, don't waste more time onstage explaining why you haven't got more time.

I think they just planned for it to be like this and Paul is using the curfew line as the way to introduce Rock And Roll All Nite on this tour. It seems pretty rehearsed.

It probably is.

I drove repeatedly to a restaurant I no longer eat at, and complained incessantly about the lousy food (and the small portions), and ridiculed the customers who were there enjoying a meal.

People rolled their eyes too...

So what you are saying is seeing this lineup is like having an awful meal.

I would have to agree with that.

12 songs. It's a bargain really. I am glad Paul and Gene are sticking it to the man. 3 nights in a row.

It's 2 headliners for this price. Some tighter planning could have had them both playing 14 songs though.
