Thank God, now the guy who does the intro for KISS can take another five minute break between "The hottest band in the world" "KISS".
That's not funny Anomaly, I heard that he stutters.
i didn't know that, surely they could get someone who doesn't stutter to do it though? What happened to Gene's old bass tech that's been doing it since 2000-ish?
Spiro by any chance? I don't know who it is. But i've actually liked the guy whose done it in recent years. Like his voice became apart of the whole thing to me the way J.R. and Eddie were

Wasn't Spiro, I think he was Gene's bass tech from 1996-1999? The intro for those two tours was different than the guy who took over in 2000. I like that guy's intro as well.

The only song dropped the last two nights was Crazy Crazy Nights. Deuce is not in the running.

Hopefully they play past the "curfew". Using the Curfew excuse is as lame and phony as using backing tapes.

They'll milk that excuse as much as they can, trying to convince the audience that it's the venue's fault the fans are getting a shortened show when in reality it's a result of shoddy planning on the promoter's part.

All they need to do is get rid of The Treatment and both bands would have there 90min+ show!

This is a bit of a joke really !
Surely 2 big international touring acts can get their act together and make sure they are both playing 90 minutes each - AS ADVERTISED !!!
Why have The Treatment there anyway ? Everybody is there to see Motley Crue and KISS, not an unknown opening band. A warm up act is fine if you are touring on your own, but this is a co-headlining tour and there is no need to sweeten the deal by adding a band few people have heard of.
MC - 7:30pm-9pm - KISS 9:30pm-11pm. Pretty simple !

The Louisville show on August 1st is the first arena date, it'll be interesting to see if the curfew excuse is used then.

Very true. Hearing that same excuse from Paul on the second night, where he's clearly lying to the crowd by acting like he's somewhat surprised to hear this (for the second night in a row) was truly pathetic. I honestly didn't think KISS would stoop that pathetically low. Like someone else said, did they forget the internet existed? Really pitiful.

So far no extra songs have been added. Wonder where they'd put Crazy Nights if it has indeed been pulled from the set the last few nights?

Here's the thing, typically these curfews start at 11, KISS has gone past eleven both dates thus far and their rehearsal date was the same exact set and earlier (I think). I'm betting that they're just using the curfew to save face really when in reality their set was only supposed to be twelve songs. I would LOVE to have someone snatch a setlist from off the stage somehow and see if the 12 songs is truly it.

Errrr... What ?!?!
He gave an explanation as to why they had to finish early. Of course they would have known what time they started and that they would have to cut it short but when would be a good time to tell people ? After the first song ? Should he have said nothing ? How should they have handled it better do you think ?

By saying nothing and just ending when they end.

Going through this whole, "OH, we're so surprised, they just told us we couldn't play anymore, but ... we're not going home yet" crap is really pitiful and pathetic to watch. Clearly they knew it was coming both nights. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at Bristow, but to see Paul saying exactly the same thing and acting exactly the same way on night 2 shows that they knew all along how long they'd be playing. Cheap and pathetic.

Right.
Have to agree here. Motley played 12 songs as well, you just have to hope no one timed KISS' gig.

Preaching to the audience that it's all the city's fault that they're trying to shut the show down is pathetic really and is diverting the blame to something else. Surely that'd rile some fans up into thinking the city/venue doesn't want KISS to continue when really they just promoted/booked the show funny.

Don't tell them. Just play the 12 songs.
But then it makes KISS look bad.
When they announced this tour it was stated that both bands would play an equal time slot of 90 minutes each. MC seem to be getting their 90 minutes (although apparently even their set was shorter tonight) but so far KISS haven't. At least if Paul gives a reason it doesn't make it look like they don't give a shit.

I bet The Treatment paid to be on the tour. Therefore they will be there for as long as they've paid!

Yep, the effect was dropped last night as they couldn't get it to work properly. The rehearsal show was just a one second burst, Bristow only one boot worked.

Some people just like to complain. I see the point about saying the same thing every night, but to think KISS owes us 2 hours and 20 songs at this point in their career, c'mon now. AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR DAT!!!

*EDIT* As soon as I typed this, they apparently have now taken the stage as tweeted by Mike
@9:55...65 minutes until curfew. Oh dear.
Hopefully they play past the "curfew". Using the Curfew excuse is as lame and phony as using backing tapes.
Errrr...

But how do you know they planned it all along ??? Answer : You don't !!!
There's no way KISS would be happy with playing 75 when MC are playing 90.

Yeah but saying you're going to play 90 minutes and you play 58 minute sets? C'mon. These tickets aren't cheap. They owe the customers
