I'll be there. It says Pelham, AL but it's really Birmingham, AL. Dunno if i'll have time to do live updates but i'm gonna try. I'm sure the setlist will be the same so not sure if live updates will be necessary. But if anyone wants live updates i will do so but they'll be short and sweet due to watching my fave band. I hate the shorter setlist but i'm still looking forward to the show. Hell it's Kiss by damn, lol!

the zoom h1 is probably the best bet for something at best buy...

here'a a list of birmingham area best buys that have it in stock...

the Tascam Dr-05 might be a tiny bit nicer for the same price but would probably have to find a Guitar Center or have it shipped overnight.

the zoom h1 should do a decent enough job.

tell him to make sure the gain is set it low.

I will be there. Id prefer it to be at the Civic Center instead of the Amphitheatre. I love that venue, but not for Kiss. I've seen many Kiss shows, my first was the Dynasty tour when I was 8yrs old. I thought the 04 show at this same venue was the least inspired I've ever seen Kiss. I retired from Kafter the farewell tour. But Podkisst got me interested again and the Sonic Boom show was good. So, I'm looking forward to the show. Ill send out my thoughts and opinions for whatever they are worth....

Kool. I'll be 3rd tier 304-W-13 and 14. Be there at around 8. Didn't have the money at the time for closer seats plus i thought my son was going but he has decided, as of tonight, he doesn't want to go because he doesn't want to see Crue. Oh well guess i'm going by myself.

Yes it was Hotter Than Hell, haha. Overall a really good show. Like i said they used a giant Kiss logo several times during the show, maybe even on each song. The lights were great. The stage was actually pretty good. They did some pretty cool stuff with those lights as well. I think they swapped HoH and LG in the setlist and they played each song almost perfectly. Gene sang War Machine better than the clip i heard from an earlier show. That was relieving. Also recall someone saying eric's playing was lame. I disagree. Even though he didn't kick ass like he did on Revenge tour he as into the show and having fun tossing his sick in the air and swinging his arms while playing. He did a couple nice jams, double bass and all showing he was still a bad ass. No complaints from me. Here's the setlist:

Oh yeah - there was a fist fight as well - I was standing at the wooden balcony the entire time, and this was a 3 or 4 rows up from the balcony - I missed the actual fighting (saw people pointing in the direction), but caught the guards escorting the guy out of the venue.

Also - I could be wrong, but I seem to remember there being a slight fuck up in the rhythm section of "War Machine" near the end of the song - still, glad I got to hear my favorite KISS tune live - with Gene singing the lyrics correctly at that!

Speaking of heat and just to go off topic for a second, I was Iron Maiden on Sunday. An indoor show here in Vancouver at our old arena and the heat was unbearable. The entire crowd was dripping with sweat. It was so uncomfortable that it made me exhausted before they came on.

Anyhow, glad to hear the KISS/Crue show didn't get cancelled.

Ha, I appreciate the offer - doubt we were near eachother, though.

I certainly wasn't going to leave my spot, either - my seats were up in the Stevie Wonder area - but... I decided to pass on those and just stand at the balcony. Guards were right in front, they didn't care or ask questions - and nobody bitched about it, so.... was definitely a better spot than what I paid for, ha ha.

Really, the venues should allow people to bring in their own bottled water - I could see not allowing sodas, or alcohol, but water is totally different - that's a serious health risk if people don't have any water when the heat's that bad.

You and the audience were miserable because the ahole lead singer of Maiden refuses to perform with the air conditioning on. Reminds me of Ahole Rose.
