These second section floor seats I have show $125 face value each but with handling fees are almost $300.
That is pretty high...

A bunch of my friends are going with free tickets since a guy works for a radio station and the promo company--
it will be interesting to compare how the Kiss Tour VIP fans are treated versus that group....

Makes me a little sad to have to pay but it will be pretty bad if they are treated better with better seats at will call than the VIP Nation expensive deal $300 per ticket. Hope the paying Kiss Fans are treated better or as well.

They've played it a few times on this tour. Maybe 2-3 times.

The last time that it was played on a regular basis was December 2009.

I'm seeing them on the 13th of September and 15th of September. I'd like to hear "Strutter" one of those nights.

Some of my best concerts have been from the cheap seats. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the Lawn at a shed. I'll have to try that one day.

Thanks for the vid. Anxious to read your review for your Farewell Koncert.

The videos look good-- just saw the Firehouse one. I have a bunch I could post too. Not sure how. I like the firehouse one as I can see whole stage. Mine are from row 8. Crüe and kiss. They look farther than they were.

Paul struggles again on "Strutter". It's one of my favourite songs, so I would like to hear it one more time.

However, maybe it's best if they rotate "Cold Gin", "Deuce" and....maybe "Parasite".

Tulsa concert review/photos:

CONCERT REVIEW: Kiss and Motley Crue at the BOK Center

Sunday was a time warp filled with concert tees, Kiss character greasepaint, rock hands, air guitars and pleather pants. Everyone was a teenager again, if just for a night. Longtime glam and metal rockers Kiss and Mötley Crüe performed a double headline bill Sunday to a crowded house at the BOK Center.

"It's all about sex, Tulsa!" yelled Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil.

Indeed, the night was about that and guitar solos. And Tommy Lee's roller-coaster, mindbending, techno-laced, tricked out, super-extended drum solo. And then Kiss frontman Gene Simmons spitting blood. And fire. And those monster rocker boots. And pomp. And booze.

Did I mention sex? Because there was that, too. ... And the half dozen drunken men behind me who screamed at the go-go dancers, "Take it off!" and the riotous hoots that followed.

Mötley Crüe marched through the arena, across the floor as a giant clock hung frozen in time until they took the stage. Wordlessly, they throttled into "Saints of Los Angeles," then into classic "Wild Side," as pyrotechnics, white spotlights and lasers lit up the arena. Flames flaired behind the band as women danced in front of it.

Frontman Vince Neil was sometimes a little breathless, and didn't always sing every lyric on time. However, the rest of the band was as taut as ever, if not moreso. Crüe was the first major concert I saw as a kid, and I lost my voice during "Shout at the Devil." To be completely honest, I almost lost it this time, too.

Set songs included "Same Ol' Situation (SOS)," "Sex," "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," "Home Sweet Home," "Live Wire," "Primal Scream," "Dr. Feelgood," "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Kickstart My Heart."

Youth and adults alike wore Dr. Feelgood-era shirts, 1980s Kiss tour tee replicas, animal prints and lots and lots of black. There were dreadlocks, mohawks, shaved heads (for those who don't have the same hairline they might have had 25 years ago), spray-wall bangs ... and bald spots.

To understand the mass appeal of Kiss and Mötley Crüe is to suspend reality, to accept their sexist airs as a sort of charm, to know that these are good ole boys if not also massively self-centered ones, too, and that, in essence, above all else, these are both anthem bands for the working class.

The greeting's so well-known that the arena chant along with the band, "Alright, Tulsa! You wanted the best and you've got the best, the hottest band in the world, Kiss!"

Just like their greeting, the band's show hasn't changed a whole lot over the decades. Scratch that, it's gotten even more bombastic and ridiculous and overblown.

As is expected.

Kiss is a time capsule, brimming with what makes American rock 'n' roll so influential. It's huge. It's an arena band.

A two-story-tall screen projected the band in high definition, rock idols in platform boots.

The set included a roster of classics: "Detroit Rock City," "Shout It Out Loud," "I Love It Loud," "Love Gun," "War Machine," "Strutter," "Rock and Roll All Nite" and more. Mixed in was the new tune "Hell or Hallelujah," from their upcoming studio album "Monster."

One other thing is fairly new, too. Simmons' wedding band.

Guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer jammed for an electrifying solo before Thayer shot of his "Love Gun" electric guitar, sparks shooting from the headstock. Simmons upped the ante by flying by wire to a ledge far above the audience after a thundering bass solo before "God of Thunder." Then Paul Stanley grabbed a swing and raced over the audience to another mid-arena stage and shimmied and sang.

"Lick it Up" held the crowd at its apex, screaming and chanting in time. Teenage boys even hopped up and down with excitement as the superscreen projected each band member to super size before switching gears to classic heavy-hitter "Back Diamond," with Singer at lead vocals.

The Treatment opened, a U.K. rocker that borrows heavily from the night's opening acts, and clad in skinny denim, L.A. swagger and darkened haystack haircuts. It was straight-ahead, double-bass drum pedal, engine-revving, guitar-squealing riff rock.

If they weren't so solid musically, they'd be a blatant cliche.

THE REVIEW

Motley Crue: Excellent stage/ light/fire/explosion/laser/video screen show. Really outdid KISS in all of those categories. Vince Neil was better than I expected. (I didn't expect much based upon seeing them in the 80's) He can carry a tune most of the time. The problem is that he may not know all of the words anymore and sings in bursts that may or may not be real words. They were louder than KISS. Too loud, really. Too many F-bombs for my taste. (We get it. You're cool. But you're 50 something. Time to grow up a little.) That said, it was an incredibly exciting set that had the crowd excited and visually stunning from the "cheap seats". The lasers looked really great from our view. Just a lot of interesting things going on up on the stage. Girl on stilts, trapeze girl, dancing and singing girls. Stage on fire. Really cool images on the screen. High energy. Great selection of songs. Really one of the best shows I've seen visually. Tommy Lee's drum solo wasn't my type of music, but I loved it anyway. He strapped a girl from the audience into the set with him and took her for a ride in the "drum-coaster". (I guess he does this every show?)

KISS: Hard to beat their entrance from the ceiling. They sounded better than the Crue. Not as loud and just more clear. Paul continues to kill his voice with all the screaming. He didn't sound really any worse than he has lately. Tuning down helps him and seeing it live, you can still hear some croaks but as a whole they don't sound that bad. The other three can still sing pretty well. They don't move around that much at all and for that reason they really get lost in that big stage. They would benefit from a smaller stage since they are pretty much staying planted behind the microphones. I wish they could do more with the video screen like Motley Crue did. The KISS show is just getting stale because it's the same thing every time. I realize they can still make money not changing anything, but it could be so much more entertaining if they would change something every now and then. I really had a good time with my family and, though I'm OK if I don't see them live again, I would go again if my family wants to go. As the show was getting close to the end my daughter was saying, "They're going to play 'Strutter' aren't they?" I told her that they had been playing different songs and they probably wouldn't play it. She was disappointed as that is her favorite song. Paul went into his speech about playing something they don't play and that they were going to play something off the first album. I thought, "Cold Gin" or "Deuce" and then Paul said "Strutter!" My daughter's eyes lit up and made it the trip to Tulsa worth it.

My son is two. I'll never get the opportunity to take him to see KISS. My wife was 5 weeks pregnant with him for the Halifax show in the summer of 2009, so his first show was a KISS show. :)

It must be cool to take your children and watch them enjoy the show, especially with the circumstances that you mentioned.

Yes it is, I took my daughter to her first non Sesame Street/Barney/Circus/Power Rangers show on the Farewell Tour, she was 10 at the time. She loved it. We went again in 09, she was in college by that time and enjoyed it just as much. In 2010 ? She went on her own to see them. As we've talked about in the other forum thread, she's hoping for a French date when they announce their European Tour

It's enjoyable to share it with your kids, even someone like The Whip , whose said this was his Farewell would be the first in line if his children wanted to go. That's pure enjoyment :!:

I'm taking my two nieces (12 and 10) to the Toronto show as it's probably the last go around for me.... I
really don't want them to see Motley Crue and I have no interest in getting sprayed down in front so it's going to be an expensive 80mins of entertainment :)

I really can't wait for the look on their faces when that curtain drops. It will be all worth it. I get to see the show through their eyes, just like when i was a kid....

I loved the show and I thought both bands were really great but there was one problem. Nikki, Vince, and Tommy Lee all sounded really high pitched when they were talking. I don't know, but they just sounded off. Crue really upped their game in terms of their show, I think. They had a lot of great effects and energy and the backup dancers were really hot and could really dance. However, I think Wild Side was the only song where they were actually singing the backup vocals. KISS sounded really good. Paul help up well and was very into the show as well as the rest of the band. I had a great time. Also, I thought KISS was much better.

Excellent!

Well I uploaded my videos to youtube, but I was not really counting on sharing them. I was trying to watch with my eyes more than through the camera.
I was much closer than the video may appear.

They claimed that was a classic rare to play. Is that true?
It shouldn't be rare, but they haven't played it that much so far this tour.
They've played it a few times on this tour. Maybe 2-3 times.

The last time that it was played on a regular basis was December 2009.

I'm seeing them on the 13th of September and 15th of September. I'd like to hear "Strutter" one of those nights.
We even keep track od this stuff:

Haven't figured out a decent way to track the shows set-by-set yet.
