Anyone going to this?
On Live Nation's home page, when you search by KISS, this date doesn't even show up. When you search by venue, it comes up and there are plenty of 200 level tickets available.
I didn't get tickets yet as I plan on waiting until it gets closer to showtime. I did this last time KISS played here and got a seat within the first five rows right in the center.

They would be able to see it from that distance. You should do it and take one for the team. You'll be a legend in bootleg circles.

I would go, but I can't see spending $50ish to see KISS perform about 11 or 12 songs. I'm not a big Crue fan so it just doesn't make sense. Plus with how bad Paul's voice sounds.

I wore my Ace solo shirt last week in the second row and got a reaction from him.

The forecast is calling for heavy rain all day until anywhere between 8 and 10 tonight. To quote Paul from MSG show on RARO tour, "Don't mean shit to me though, I don't care".
Looking forward to seeing Motley for the 1st time and curious to see what the rotating KISS encore will be (I'm hoping for Strutter). I'm hoping Paul sounds good...the last two times I saw KISS live he sounded like Phyllis Diller (RIP) with strep throat.
Honestly, I'm over the Ace/Tommy thing. Ace is in a better place now and good for him.

Good luck with the weather. There's no roof there, is there? I know there wasn't when I last was there years ago.

I'm in the 7th row in the covered area. I saw Roger Waters there years ago and there was thunder and lightning and the show went on...it was just delayed. I think by the time KISS goes on, the storms s/b over.

The seats are covered, but the general admission isn't covered. Plus you have to walk about 5 mins or so before you even get to your seats.

Scotty971, Mrs. Driver and I are in section 203, row L, seats on the aisle toward the middle if anyone wants to stop by.
I'll be giving set list and tornado updates during the show.
A friend of mine has meet and greet tickets, so I may end up with some acoustic set updates.

Treatment just went on. It's pouring. I have seats under the roof, but we're still soaked because it took an hour to get into the venue thanks to incompetent staff.

To be fair, nothing really good happens when Vince has his hands on a microphone, either. Tommy is drumming on the Super Duper Looper right now.

Detroit back on the 6th, had a fun night. Thought Motley was better, although that was probably because with KISS I kind of know their show like the back of my hand by now.

I saw Toronto and Darien Lake and thought KISS came out on top both times, but just barely for Darien Lake. The Toronto show was truly the best that I've seen them since 2000. It was predictable, aside from the Dr Love encore, but Paul sounded a lot better than any time that I've heard him in the last 5 years, they were musically tight, and the production was great. In Toronto, Motley were good but nowhere near KISS. Vince was a trainwreck, even moreso than normal. Maybe due to the new injury. Plus, Crue didn't mime as well, so the back tracks were painfully obvious. Nobody near the microphones accept Mick, and it sounded like 10 of them up there. They were better in Darien Lake, and KISS lost a bit from the previous show. KISS came out on top....barely. I would even argue it was a statistical tie in Darien Lake. :)

But Toronto was no contest.

But since this is the Scranton thread, I digress...

I felt both bands came out firing on all cylinders my show. I actually thought Vince was pretty good, although...by pretty good I mean not as bad as people have been making him out to be.

Something I noticed for KISS, it just felt like they lost momentum (and the crowd) when Shock Me rolled around...surprisingly I feel that War Machine got a pretty good pop at the end. As soon as Paul introduced Tommy for Shock Me, it was just dead, blank stares 'n shit. Motley took awhile to get the crowd on their side, but once they had them they had them for the rest of their show.

Toronto was the first full show that Vince did with his injury. He was brutal, but was a trooper. He was much better two nights later.

War Machine was my favourite song both nights. Shock Me has been boring since 2000.

I saw 2 consecutive shows on the 13th in Toronto and 15th in Darien Lake and got Dr Love twice. The show after, they do Got To Choose. I was pumped to hear Dr Love in Toronto, but somewhat disappointed to hear it in Darien Lake.

Oh yeah, War Machine was definitely my favorite that night...the look on my friend's face (he's not a diehard like us where he follows the setlist and knows every aspeect of the band) when they pulled that one out? Priceless.

I was fine getting Strutter, would have preferred Deuce but whatever...can't go wrong with the first album. 8)

If there is a "Monster" Tour, they should keep "War Machine" in the set. Since I never saw KISS until 1995 (but have now seen them 10 times), this was the first time that I've ever heard them play it live. It's always been a favourite of mine live on the old "boots".

Tell me about it, I kept repeatedly saying "Why?" when he'd do that in Detroit.
