The Hallenstadion will be pretty full. To this day (May 11) about 12'000 tickets have been sold and the max capacity is 13'000. Only the last 4-5 rows in the upper deck are empty. The promoter is also releasing each day a few couple of good tickets in the first seated rows !
KISS in Switzerland : KISS only played the Hallenstadion in Switzerland during their Alive 35 / 2008 tour, the house was looking sold out (about 12'500). This year they play 2 shows : Zurich & Geneva. It's fantastic for my little country.
The Arena capacity for KISS in Geneva is 8'000-8'500 (3'500 seated and the rest is floor standing), the maximum official capacity is 9'500 but for big productions, the floor is reduced from 6'000 to 4'500-5'000, because of the stage and backstage places. To this day, only about 200 tickets are still available ! During the Reunion they played the Geneva Arena in front of 4'600 people (and not 9'000 as listed by mistake in the Kiss Alive Forever book). Today almost the double ! I know, a lot of neighboor french fans will also be there.
I've got 2 days off too and I don't have to bring fifteen trucks from London to Switzerland
I wonder if we'll see some changes in Zurich (minor changes in the set-list maybe)...
For me it's a real cool week-end : tomorrow I'll attend the Scorpions concert (farewell tour) not far from Geneva, sunday KISS in Zurich and monday KISS in Geneva !!!
The crowd (near sold out) loved the encores... Before that only some diehards were going crazy. Don't know where the guy was, that wrote to kissonline. Even Paul realized, that Zurich has been much louder before and hinted: Don't get too excited, Zurich.
BTW: After Paul flew back (IWMFLY) he was once again upset and wanted to push someones laser up his ass.
What a great f*ckin' show ! About 12'500 fans in the 13'000 capacity beautiful Hallenstadion.
It was my 15th KISS show, saw them on every Euro tour since the Reunion in Europe (+ Dodger Stadium '98 and 4 Farewell shows in California + Nevada), and this is the best ROCK SHOW I've ever been to so far. I really like this modern but at the same time classic stage. All effects went well, the pyro, concussions were deafening, the light show is their best to date.
Same set-list as in the UK and you know what, even during I'm An Animal I stayed in the hall enjoying it instead of goin' out takin' a p*ss.
There were old, young, middle-aged (here I am !) people in the hall. It was ovious that for lots of people it was their first live KISS and it was great looking at the smile on the faces. Zurich may not be the loudest crowd on earth (nothing to do with KISS, it's always like that and it's not a bad point, the mood was very good), but everyone seemed to have a great time.
The Tommy-Eric solo/jam is very cool, a far much better moment than the two separate and annoying solos they were doing for years.
I didn't notice 'til last night that Paul little stage was also levitating.
I'm in my fourties, yesterday I brought cousins in their twenties who love KISS (guess who infected them ?) and tonight in Geneva, my 9 yrs old son comes with me. Wow !
