I see you can still fly into Cork/Kerry airports today (south).

Then you've got a three hour + road trip to Dublin.

I'd say flights would be at a premium price now, though.

Hope you make the show. Good Luck.

Our flight from Birmingham to Dublin today was cancelled, we managed to train and ferry, Gene Axe van was on the ferry too, so all looks likely to proceed.

Wow, 7000 tiickets - I was thinking it would be empty - KISS aren't the biggest in these parts.

Good luck to all those trying to make the trip over.

Great Pub in Dublin is "The Quays" in Temple Bar.

Always good Craic.

Holy crap...what an intense audience, the band thrived on it must be the most lifted performance I have seen in an age as a result. Strangest venue ever all the seated was upstairs I'd say about 60% full up there and the floor was a mad house about 8k- 9k I'd say, not full by any means but man Dubliner's know how to rock. I'll forgive the booing at the English lol.

The band, Paul in particular seemed in awe, the show was sharp and spot on. Best version of I'm An Animal I have seen so far it was mean with teeth and CCN again went down a storm as did IWMFLY and GGRNRTY.

The band was staying at the Westbury saw Gene and Eric on way to sound check got some snaps a few got autographs and we caught up with a few familiar faces and some new ones. We have a day in Dublin to do touristy things tomorrow, then onto Manchester for us...WOOHOO!!!

Ps Saw the Phil Lynnot statue, it has a remarkable resembelance to Samuel L Jackson lol.

That was an awesome show...I was like 4 people deep downstairs between Paul and Gene. It was a madhouse down there....people were going nuts, there were fat and smelly metal chicks grinding on random guys, beer being thrown all over, and even a few fights. It's everything I would have thought a 70s Kiss show would be like!

The crowd was ecstatic, best crowd I've seen in a long time. It was a really young crowd too and they were totally enthusiastic. They were singing Kiss songs while we waited for the opening band, and even sang the intro songs like Immigrant Song and My Generation before Kiss took the stage.

Once again, the band blew me away. Pauls voice is MUCH better than on the US shows I saw. Tommy was on fire too. Everything sounded great, so much so that I really enjoyed Crazy Crazy Nights and I really hate that studio album.

If you get a chance to see this tour, definitely do it!

it was a good show, not great. was dead center up stairs 3 rows in. the crowd up there basically sat on their asses until paul flew up there way, then it became a better atmosphere up there. i don't like the delay into Cold Gin, they used to just blast into the second song, like deuce goes right into strutter. they did let me go rock n roll and that's always a highlight for me. paul's voice was ok, but he has lost A LOT vocally. it was cool seeing all the fans dressed up. the irish kiss army were mad for them. i guess it wasnt the first kiss concert in dublin???? that was 22 years ago???

Well 22 years ago KISS played Bellfast, Northern Ireland....

Anyway I enjoyed the show..and setlist, I have to agree the delay between MDD and Cold Gin should be skipped. But the show wnt in a good pace and Paul did a pretty good considdering the last few years.

As Sugardaddy I was up on the first balcony together with my wife (her 4th show, never saw one in our own country :-) ) during MDD we were the only ones standing, although the crowd on our side did get into the show from CCN on.

On the floor it was clearly a madhouse...one thing I never saw before was the huge amount of drinking that was going on, the guy and girl (well huge girl) drank at least 10 pints each

Back home now listning to the show, and it actually was pretty tight....and clearly the band has fun doing these shows.

Thanks for posting my tweets. I forgot to take my phone to the gig, so couldn't do any live tweeting, i'll do better tomorrow at the Glasgow gig.

This was an awesome show. We were about the 5th from the front, dead centre. Perfect view except when Gene flew up as we were right underneath the platform. My mate said I totally geeked out when CCN came on. Even I was surprised how much the crowd popped for that song.

As I said in the above tweet, I take back everything I ever said about the setlist. Hearing these songs ona bootleg cd/mp3 whatever can get boring, but being there in the flesh, these songs kick ass.

I have to say I feel sorry for the bloke who has to brush up the confetti  .

Anyway, here's some pics

Review: Kiss 02, Dublin

By Eamon Sweeney

Monday May 10 2010

A group of entrepreneurial geniuses outside the O2 are painting faces for a fiver.

They're doing a roaring trade, in stark contrast to the almost-deserted burger and hot-dog stands. I haven't witnessed such enterprise on the way to a gig since a bunch of bright sparks flogged fake eyebrows at Oasis's first appearance at Slane in 1995.

Kiss inspire a unique devotion. In an age when most bands look almost exactly like their audience, they're a blast of old-fashioned outrageousness.

The make-up also comes in handy in helping to conceal how much they've aged, but they're also one of those rare groups where it really doesn't matter if they're 19 or 90.

Kiss are about bright lights, flying guitars, fake blood, breathing fire and a relentless barrage of ear-piercing fireworks. Oh, they also manage to play some songs.

The flamboyant four boast huge hits from the 70s ('Rock 'n' Roll All Night'), 80s ('Crazy Crazy Nights') and 90s ('God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You'). Tellingly, no recent material has enjoyed the same iconic anthem status.

They sound amazing, look bonkers and put all the bombastic fun back into rock 'n' roll.

The Starchild (Paul Stanley), The Demon (Gene Simmons), The Spaceman (Tommy Thayer) and the Catman (Eric Singer) strut their stuff, rolling their tongues and generally behaving how a gloriously dumb rock band should.

Sometimes, they even manage to make AC/DC look and sound cerebral. It's fine for Kiss to resort to cliches, as, lest we forget, they pretty much defined them.

Gene Simmons has a habit of talking too much. That would be fine if he'd anything funny or interesting to say, but his onstage patter is restricted to banal platitudes that begin or end by bellowing, "Dublin!" The only other minor complaint from a thrilling and terrific show is that, at time, it really should be slightly louder. The architects of pomp rock deserve to be turned up to eleven.

- Eamon Sweeney

Gene Simmons Talks Too Much
