Since its their hometown and their land of Oz (MSG), maybe theyll do something special?

There are so many reasons it seems like each show they could do something "special" and they "don't". Just doing what they do is special enough.

There won't be anything special at this show. It's just another show for them, regardless of it being at MSG. Should be fun, but I don't think it qualifies for being big...unless it's your first time seeing them.

Actually, Paul has been on record saying that they always preferred playing the Meadowlands arena. He called it their favorite place to play. I believe that was on a Z-100 radio interview in '89.

I'm expecting this to be my last KISS show so I hope it's memorable.
Apparently there wont be any major changes to the set list so I guess I'll start to drink early in order to enjoy the same old songs.
8th row, Section 3 (Gene's side) here I come!!

I actually won't be going tonight after all. Came down with a nasty cold and some pretty banging headaches. Don't feel like going anywhere.

Everyone have fun! I'll read the reviews.

I actually like it how they constantly revolve songs around the set, they may not be new but it sure as hell is interesting.

I wonder if they'll "surprise" us by putting Firehouse or Rock Bottom in on this tour...it's like they forgot they were on the album.

Seeing things as they are, I think this will be my last show/tour.

Thank god I didn't spend $500 dlls for first section tickets. I'm glad I went for the $20 ones and bought five so I could take a group with me.

Pretty good for the New York area. Three songs changed: "I Stole Your Love," "Watchin' You," and "King Of The Night Time World" replaced with "Strutter," "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll," and "Cold Gin." There may be nothing new, but it is varying the set...

I support the band, and I'm not bashing, don't get me wrong but a band that charges $100 for ticket should at least play 20 songs.

AC/DC $100 - 20 song set
Feetwood Mac $100 - 2 1/2 hr set
Def Leppard $100 16 song set
KISS usually plays 20 songs and now they have dropped to 18

In 2004 they did a varied setlist about every 10 or so shows. They did rare songs like "All The Way" and "Love Her All I Can". "Christine Sixteen" was in the regular set as was "Unholy" and "War Machine". It was a great setlist for that tour and I have to say I have no idea why they are so stuck on this tour. It's so weird. They did the diehards a favor 5 years ago and now they're back to doing the same old stuff. Whatever.

I just spoke with my brother who saw the concert tonight at MSG. He said it was GREAT. Paul's voice, while rough in spots, held up well overall. Gene was in top form. Most of all, he said the chemistry between band members was fantastic. At one point, Paul jumped onto Gene's back. He said the setlist felt satisfying because it consisted of songs they haven't played in the States for some time. He said it was a great night for KISS at the Garden.

I got plenty of friends who went...one called me leaving the garden and said..."Bro you are lucky you didn't see this, they didn't play anything off sonic boom and the crowd was as lame as the set. This was the worst Kiss show ever"

that dude saw every show since asylum

he also said "we want Ace chants we heard at several times during the show."

plenty of my KISS friends who went will be returing... one friend said "wait till my review on the faq."

I'm so glad I didn't pay the money :)

My guess is that they'll be switching back and forth with those songs. Don't discount the possibility of hearing them at your concert.

So your friends hate KISS and make stuff up about them too?

It's cool to have stuff in common with your friends.

I'm seeing them in Philly on Monday. I have to say how disappointed I am in this set list.

I can't believe they now dropped "I Stole Your Love" and "King Of The Night Time World" already! I also can't believe they dropped "Watchin' You"

Please play something additional off Sonic Boom!

I wish I knew the set before I bought the tickets for pretty much the same exact show for the past 13 years with the exception of MDD!

I wouldn't have bothered.
