Yeah, this is going to be interesting... if they don't mix it up at this show, then they certainly won't for the rest of the tour...

they said they were gonna launch sonic boom at this show until "the media spoiled the suprise". they better not use that as an excuse for not changing the set list

This will never happen.........but for this one show they play SB from start to finish then drop back to 3-4 SB tunes for rest of tour. It would be great press and a cool moment for city getting the most votes.

God I hope not...there is no way I could listen to all 11 of those songs in a row again. Did it today after buying the album and once is enough to last a lifetime.

Tomorrow will be my tenth Kiss show and third in two months. It'll be the first time for my 7 year old, second time for my 9 year old and third for my 13 year old. I'm dressing as the ankh tomorrow for something totally different, my son as his idol, The Fox and daughters as Peter and Paul.

Anyone want to hook me up with the setlist tonight? I won't be back until the afternoon so you may have left for the show before I see any responses but if you are willing to text me the setlist as the show is happening just PM me and let me know. Just if you PM me, include your number this way I can see and I will text you when I do see it.

My guess is 3 extra Sonic Boom songs for a total of 4 in the setlist.

I'm An Animal
When Lightning Strikes- Hardly my favorite, but it will go with the solo
Say Yeah.

We'll see what transpires.

Hopefully something is up because I pre-ordered the show.

Doubtful, when asked if the band had anything special in store for this show, Paul answered flatly, no (see the last line below).

http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/2009/10/07/11334576-cp.html

TORONTO - Kiss is set to deliver on its promised show in Oshawa, Ontario tonight.

Earlier this year, the face-painted classic rockers asked fans to go to their website and vote for their hometown to be included in the band's next big tour.

Oshawa finished first among all cities, but when the dates for the "Kiss Alive 35" tour were announced, the city was left off the list, without explanation.

After an outcry from fans in the town, and Oshawa Mayor John Gray, Kiss added an Oshawa date to the tour.

Guitarist Paul Stanley tells The Canadian Press that the issue was "blown out of proportion," and that the band always planned on playing Oshawa but just hadn't finalized when the concert would happen.

He also said that the band wouldn't be giving Oshawa fans anything extra - only because, he says, the over-the-top rock group is always giving its all.

9:06 no opener, show hasn't started yet and the crowd is getting restless as we've all been here since 7:30.

Boos starting to be chanted.

Are they at least playing videos on the side screens or something? That's a pretty long wait after door openings.

I'm sure it's the same set list as from recent concerts. No sence in being anxious for something that will probably not happen.....Maybe.

We all have to remember that KISS promises a lot...but in the end dissapoint. If they actually listened to the fans (diehards), there would be a different set list each night.

They are comfortable of playing the same thing every night, so be it. I still love the fact that they have a new album, and are touring....... :P

You've gotta be kidding.

Unless they play new songs, there's no way I'm picking up any more of those Instant Live Cds.

I have both Cobo on the way and Oshawa.

If they don't change it up in Oshawa, after winning the vote, the public outcry, the promise of something special, no opener and the day after the album release, I'll be completely floored.

Me too actually. I've bought the first 8 shows on those CDs and think I'll just wait until the setlist changes before I buy any more. I can d/load the others no problem.

it doesn't make sense to release a new album and not play it live to promote your songs...

hope they play SB little by little as the tour goes on

I'm not won over by the new album but I was wishing that they would actually be promoting it live.

How is it that they talk about being into this album so much more than "PYSCHO CIRCUS" yet they played more than just one tune from that when it first came out!

Well we haven't got the full report yet but the outlook on more SB tunes tonight looks very very very grim. It's very odd they've got a new album out that appears to be headed to number 1 by all accounts and they're not playing it live.
