Nice bill. Considering what was said in the Non Kiss forum, I wonder what Dokken will be like, as almost everyone seems to have left for another project called Tooth And Nail...

This is a big metal fest thing with festival seating and what not. I was inclined to make the trek, then thought maybe not to see KISS from waaaaaaaay to far away.

And though some will always yearn for the original all-star lineup, Simmons and company let Oshkosh know that KISS is still alive in 2011.

I was at this show, had a great time. Got our tickets on the opening day of sales and were in the Reserved section just behind the 40 or so rows of VIP seats. Huge disadvantage for this venue is the ground is completely flat, so if you aren't pretty close or 7 ft tall your view is crappy. Sure you can see the screens but I much prefer seeing the band too.

I was working and didn't attend Thur night but heard that Daughtry was nowhere near strong enough to headline the first night. Unfortuneately missed Cheap Trick that day as well.

Friday saw a strong show by Skynyrd and Journey. However, Journey played just about an hour and quit, no encores, really short show, boo to them.

Sat was KISS day. Sunny and beautiful, talked to tons of people and a great day all around. Dokken was pretty awful, watched one song and back to the beer tent. Hollywood Undead's show was alot of fun, hadn't really listened to them before but enjoyed it. Korn, now that was something else. Never been a fan of this band at all and the show did nothing to change my mind. To me they sounded like a long drum solo accompanied by a guitar amp rolling down a flight of stairs, and than they brought out bagpipes, WTF? KISS' show was a blast as usual, crowd was really into it. Loud as hell and a great time. My only complaint would be hearing some other tunes than the standards but that's been said so much already. Just what I'd expect from KISS and wasn't disappointed.

Not going to the festival this year, just wasn't that interested in the acts on the bill.
